The drug war posters never sound off about police raids when minors buy beer.
Additionally, if we look to the age of consent laws, being “nearly legal” is now considered legal if you are close enough in age (within a few years).
Why do the police even concern themselves with such matters?
The drinking age should be decided locally instead of federally (blackmailed in compliance by the withholding of highway funds from gas taxes).
The states are whores and their payment is the federal highway funds. Uncle John gets a BJ or he cuts off the $$.
The irony is that the feds take the money, then make the states kiss the federal ass to get *some* of it back. Everything belongs to Washington, and we have to prostrate ourselves before our rulers to get a few crumbs....of our own earnings.
