A jury awarded former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura $1.8 million on Tuesday in his lawsuit against the estate of “American Sniper” author Chris Kyle.
On the sixth day of deliberations, the federal jury decided that the author of the 2012 best-selling book defamed Ventura in its description of a bar fight in California in 2006. Kyle, regarded as the deadliest military sniper in U.S. history, wrote that he decked a man whom he later identified as Ventura after the man allegedly said the Navy SEALs “deserve to lose a few.”
Ventura testified that Kyle fabricated the passage about punching him. Kyle said in testimony videotaped before his death last year that his story was accurate. …

I guess the jury found he was defamed not because he got decked but that Ventura said he never said the things Kyle said he’d said.

The Kyle side was willing to go with the split jury because Ventura was suing for $15 million. He got $1.8 million.
Since the trial, Kyle's books have picked up in sales and the movie will be coming out in 2015 (directed by Clint Eastwood with Bradley Cooper as Kyle). Taya Kyle will be making a LOT more money none of which Ventura can touch. His suit has been satisfied for a far smaller amount than he wanted and he cannot sue again.
This a-hole gets his fraudulent blood money, but the world knows he is a POS and Taya Kyle and her kids will be more than set for life.
He should be shunned anywhere and everywhere he shows his face!

Minnesota was the first state to declare transexuals a “protected class” in 1993, and for about eight years, they stood alone in that respect until Rhode Island followed their lead in 2001. So consider how long that state has been überliberal.

Ventura has made a living passing himself off as former Navy Seal. The truth of the matter is this loudmouth POS was never a Seal and was never in combat, something else he claims. The closest he came to combat was barroom brawls in Olongapo City.

Over the years, Minnesota has become a marxist and Islamic shithole, esp. Minneapolis.
It is a success story of how the Communist Party and other socialists infiltrated the state in the early part of the 1900’s (Democrat-Farm Labor Party, Socialist Party, CPUSA) and wormed their way into the very fabric of society.
Remember, it was their present Secy of State Mark Ritchie who helped Al Franken get the Senate seat in an election against Norman Coleman (votes wee tampered with enough to throw it to Franken via Ritchie).

However, I can’t help but think if 11 witnesses backed up Kyle’s account and yet 8 jurors sided with Ventura, someone dropped the ball somewhere.
The best outcome would be what Ventura claims to have suffered most. Ventura will now and forever be a ‘pariah in the brotherhood and current and former SEALS.’
Not being connected to the military in any way, I can assure Jesse Ventura my loathing for him has nothing to do with Kyle’s claims. I thought he was a POS long before I even knew who Kyle was.
Jessy just became a target for every SEAL that walks buy to drop him with one punch.
