I wish they would publicize the number of women who are sterile after routine abortion. THAT might scare them into stopping this procedure.

Licensed abortionists still botch abortions, and deny women prompt medical treatment, leading to physical injury and even death.

This is why parental notification a must and why Wendy Davis’ hissyfit at the Texas Senate was a PRO-botched abortion rant since she sought to prohibit oversight, regulation, and access to emergency medical care.

The Democrats’ War on Women continues.

my mother died of uremic poisoning after a botched abortion

Cause of death was probably not a botched abortion, it was most likely lack of antibiotics, which weren't around yet in 1932.

I’ll be flamed, but to me the problem isn’t legal, it is moral. The procedure should be available. If a patient and doctor agree it is in the best interest everyone, including the fetus it should be available.

It is ridiculous that these doctor’s are not required to have hospital admitting privileges.

I think it is horrendous that only the pro-lifers seem to care about making abortion safe. Or safer I should say.

‘The death of actor James Garner saddened fans across the country. Born James Scott Bumgarner, the 86-year-old Rockford Files star overcame mental and physical abuse from his stepmother – who would regularly beat him with whatever was handy and force him to wear dresses as a form of emasculation – to become one of the most beloved stars of his day. In his autobiography, The Garner Files, he revealed that he had no memory of his birth mother, who died when he was four years old.

“It wasn’t until I was fifteen that my cousin Betty told me my mother died of uremic poisoning after a botched abortion,” he wrote. “I have no idea whether my father was involved in the decision to have the abortion or whether he blamed himself for her death. We never talked about it in the family.”

After 1973, the back alley abortionists simply came out of the shadows, hung out a shingle, and continued business as usual.

Reading between the lines, Garner seems to have wondered whether his years of harrowing abuse could have been avoided if his father had intervened. (He also mentions the fact that his mother was a Christian Scientist and, thus, shunned conventional medical treatment.)’

What a harrowing thing to have happened to Garner(who I’m a fan of despite his liberal politics) and his family but if his mother was a Christian Scientist, why would she ever have had an abortion to begin with since they reject doctors and medical treatment?
