Ringo always seems to be enjoying himself. As a Beatle he never took himself to seriously and later was very successful as a single performer.

Ringo’s a vegan-—hence why he is so slim. Looks good for his years.

We saw him on his 70th. Paul was a surprise guest at the end and sang Birthday.

I like his post-Beatles solo work the most of any of the Beatles, easily. Photograph, You’re 16, and The No-No Song come to mind immediately.
And I have to give him a WTF Award for his video of “Only You” (with John Lennon):

He has a unique way of looking at life and is a master of the malaprop. I think, in part, why he is so endearing to his fans and friends.
He made me cry once. In a documentary of George Harrison, he was talking about their friendship and the end of George’s life. Near death with cancer, George asked Ringo if there was anything he could do for one of Ring’s children who was having hard times in the US. As if George did not have enough on his plate. The way he told it was touching and he started to cry a bit. And it got to me. Then, being Ringo, he looked that the camera and said, “Me? Crying? What is this? A Barbara F#^king Walters interview??!!”

I saw him at the 50th Year Tribute concert. He was bouncing around, running back and forth, he had the energy of the 23 year old he was when he first came to America.
