In 2013 a federal judge permanently blocked the Indiana legislatures attempt to defund Planned Parenthood. It's not a judge's purview to tell the legislature it MUST fund a private sector business.
When this happens the state has the power to simply ignore the judge. He can't enforce his decision. Judges are not omnipotent nor all powerful. Their power comes from the spineless fear that the legislative branch has of them.
It should be pointed out that Hussein Obama has repeatedly ignored [legitimate and legal] judicial rulings with no consequences that I am aware of.
