Laws need to be passed to break teacher indemnification. There is no reason they shouldn’t be held personally liable for damages. These people are wildly out of control, and nothing but having to answer personally for what they are doing will stop them.

In fact, I’ll bet a determined attorney could break their indemnification right now, simply by showing the absolute contradiction between what they force the kids to do under the guise of “learning,” versus how they punish them through “zero tolerance.” That would take away their defense of caliming to follow district teaching standards, and expose them to personal suit for harming the kids on their own initiative.
