A pair of pro-life activists heard an abortion clinic worker make a startling statement as documented in a 2014 book called Stories from the Frontlines: the Battle against Abortion .
Pastor Warren Fox was sidewalk counseling or demonstrating outside an abortion clinic with the books author, Judy Madsen Johnson, when one of the clinic workers walked by.
Pastor Fox describes:
Once, as I stood beside Judy on the sidewalk in front of a killing center, she spoke to an abortion worker arriving for the day. Leaving her car, the worker made her way toward the entrance of the clinic. As she had done so many times before, Judy called the workers name and said, Wont you please let me help you find employment in another place? You can use your medical training to save lives instead of taking them.
The two activists were not taunting the worker or treating her unkindly; rather, they were reaching out to her and offering help. Pastor Fox and Johnson were probably aware that many clinic workers have been converted by the patient, compassionate outreach of pro-lifers.
And Then There Were None, headed by former Planned Parenthood clinic director Abby Johnson, has been very successful at working with clinic workers and helping them leave the abortion business. ATTWN helps former clinic workers find new jobs. Fox and Judy Johnson would probably have directed this clinic worker to similar help, and were reaching out to her and encouraging her to use her medical training to protect lives rather than to take them. But the clinic worker was having none of it.
According to Fox:
Unexpectedly, the woman turned to Judy and said, Let me ask you a question. Do you think its okay to euthanize dogs?
Judy and I looked at each other incredulous that she asked such a thing. Before we could answer, the worker said, Whats the difference?
Comparing unborn babies to unwanted dogs shows a deep indifference to the value human life. Humans are not the same as animals. This clinic worker believes that people do not have inherent worth. To her, killing an unborn baby is no more significant than killing an unwanted pet.
Incidentally, there are laws governing how dogs may be euthanized in shelters or veterinarians offices. They cannot be torn limb from limb, for example. The deaths unborn babies endure in abortion clinics are often far more brutal than those experienced by unwanted pets. Indeed, if a shelter was killing puppies by tearing off their legs and crushing their skulls, which is how many aborted babies die, there would be a massive uproar. Pro-choice activists fight against laws that require abortion providers to even inform women of the pain their unborn babies might feel in an abortion. There is ample evidence that unborn babies feel pain in the second trimester- and perhaps even earlier.
Are human lives worth more than those of animals? Pro-lifers argue that they are. Notice that this clinic worker knows full well that abortion is killing. She tacitly admits that she helps kill, but maintains that the unborn humans she kills are worth no more than dogs.
Rarely has the philosophy behind legalized abortion, which devalues human lives, been articulated so succinctly.
Hope she enjoys her special place in hell.
People who euthanize dogs don’t normally feel good about what they are doing.
They don’t try to talk people into killing perfectly healthy dogs because they might be a burden on their owners.
They don’t form political action committees to ensure the right to kill dogs for no reason.
Dogs are not euthanized by having their brains sucked out or their legs yanked off.
> Hope she enjoys her special place in hell.
The lefties never seem to grasp the concept of empathy or that they could just as easily been euthanized by their own mothers
Doesn’t that contradict the pro-abortion argument that aborted children were really just a mass of cells, and therefore not alive? Euthanasia is an act of termination of life. Am I now to believe that animals aren’t really alive?
I know you really cannot reason with these people.
Dogs at least get the dignity of going to sleep. Many states even mandate it.
Babies get torn to pieces, burned or scissored while conscious.
They aren't even treated like they're living beings to keep up the “it's just tissue” mantra. God forbid they use a sedative and acknowledge the baby feels. It might mean less customers.
That’s what happens when society abandons God.
Ironically, if a researcher needs to kill unborn animals for research purposes, those animal fetuses must be killed humanely. As with all euthanization procedures done on animals, they must be rendered unaware prior to being killed.
I'm sure abortionists would cry foul if held to the same standards as medical researchers who euthanize animals.
I'm convinced that most of those who work in the abortion industry are sociopaths, completely unable to empathize.
It will be special alright, but not very enjoyable. I am sure most of these people think animals are worth more than babies. Talk about twisted morals.
Every single one of them told her they did not terminate canine pregnancies because it would be too dangerous to the spaniel.
And if someone were to kill a dog in such a way, they would be imprisoned and labeled an abhorrent person.
We are ever so anxious not to cause any pain to capital criminals at their executions. The slightest indication of pain is labeled "cruel and inhuman".
Yet, these poor little people that we allow so blithely to be killed daily are guilty of no offense, they've not been presented with the charges against them, nor have they been allowed to face their accusers, and they have not been tried by a jury of their peers.
Abortion is evil, demonic, and a nation that practices it does not deserve to lead the world. Nations on this earth that forbid abortion are, in that regard, far more deserving of world leadership than is our own.
And America's gradual descent into weakness, and it's recent rush into weakness, is testimony that God's attention is not just turned away from us, but that His Hand is against us in the initiation of judgment.
It is true: If America is not judged, then God owes an apology to Sodom and Gomorrah.
You have the dog ping. I’d love to hear from dog lover to weigh in on this. thanks.
dog lovers I mean....sowwy
I have had to euthanize two cats in my day. Trust me it was not pleasant and I never did it in this manner.
I think if Pastor Fox would have temporarily suspended The Golden Rule, a passel of Bible passages, and several Commandments, I’m thinking that the Lord would have forgiven him for punching her right in the nose.
I don’t think any of us, ‘here’, can understand the minds of those who perform abortions. When something is empty, something else fills the void - they are empty of GOD, so evil took its place.
I have had two dogs ‘gently’ put to sleep by the Vet, and it was heartbreaking, but they were old, sick and in pain. I miss them still. ‘Potlatch’ was one of them...
I hope you don’t mind if I tell you my long story Morgana, since you did ask, lol.
My first daughter was born when I was 19 yrs old. I’m Catholic and became pregnant when she was 9 months old, and my body was thin and not strong enough yet because I started to lose the baby in the 3rd month and was rushed to the hospital.
This was many decades ago and from that time on I was instructed to lie in bed - flat on my back - which I did for 4 whole months. My first son was born at 7 months and weighed 2 1/2 pounds. The doctor baptized him at birth and he was kept in an ‘incubator’ for two months.
At that time it was unheard of for a baby to survive at that tiny size. The placenta was not fully attached and he had not received the nourishment he needed. I was not even allowed to ever hold him until he was almost 5 lbs and we brought him home! I was still very weak myself.
I had him at home for two months until one morning I found him dead from SIDS. He was 4 months old then.
The point I’m making is that WE will do anything to save a baby - even if it is ‘inconvenient’ timing in our lives. I could easily have stood up and lost the baby if I had wished to do so.
God has plans for us in our lives that we cannot understand. My oldest daughter died a year and a half ago and I’ll never recover from that. Thankfully I also have twin daughters and a son, so I am still blessed.
I wish we had 100 more like you. Really.
Thank you Morgana, that is kind of you. ;)
