Wow, there's a big new push on for these scenarios. It is the same tired old set of anti-impact claims that have been pushed for over fifty years -- IOW, since Shoemaker IDed Berringer Crater and the Ries Basin as impact structures; but picking up more desperately when the Snowbird conferences started to coordinate research into the Alvarez model.
