It's a good thing 50 Cent didn't hype up his first pitch at Tuesday's New York Mets game against the Pirates with a tagline like "Throw a Strike or Die Tryin'." If he had, he'd be dead.
Instead, he's just embarrassed — and he's the new owner of the worst first pitch in history. We don't say that lightly. Baseball has given us some horrible first pitches over the years, but 50 Cent just took things to a new level of ridiculousness.
Watch this thing. Oof. It's as bad as his catalog after "Get Rich or Die Tryin'."
As bad first pitches by "musicians" go — 50's is worse than Mariah Carey's and Carly Rae Jepsen's, two of the all-timers in that category. At least they got the ball going in the right direction. Mr. Cent looked like he spotted Ja Rule in a dugout and was trying to bean him. He might want to use that excuse actually; it may help him get back some of his hip-hop cred.
This is even funnier because 50 looked the part and his wind up was decent. It seemed like he might actually throw a respectable first pitch. But then his body went one way, his arm went another and we were all treated to first-pitch disaster.
It might be time for 50 to restart his training regimen from the "In Da Club" video and try this again next year:

Well like the rumor goes, most of these gangsta rappers are flaming faggitos, that’s why they worship jail - It’s got free unlimited male sex. A guy I knew use to record them in the late 1990s in New York city, he said they would do their gangsta raps talking all kinds of tough, then make out with each other on the couch while he mixed the tape. EEWW
It was a wild/bad throw. However, he looked (to me) like a heterosexual man making a wild/bad throw. I cannot say the same about Obama.

Now that you mention it, that makes sense. Poor guy. Didn’t he practice ahead of time? If he couldn’t get the ball consistently over the plate, why do this to himself?

I challenge any man here to go outside and throw a decent pitch with the wrong hand. LOL
As a woman who can’t throw a decent pitch with my right hand...
I did catastrophically break my right arm once. I had to try & take class notes by writing with my left hand. It was misery itself, so I can relate.
Nobody has ever asked me to make a first pitch. IF i was ever asked i would have to warm up my arm for half an hour, and i would throw a strike (probably) and look good doing it. However if i ran out to the mound cold and just threw that first ball in front of 70,000 fans the ball might not make it to home plate. The first three or four throws are painful and all over the place as my arm is old cold and traveled.
My 1st couple of throws feels like sand in my rotator cuff. 25 years of high school baseball batting practice has taken a toll.
