Eating lots of garlic and a little vitamin B should help.

I often find myself praying that the blood of Jesus would kill ‘em and make me unattractive to them. Seems to work pretty well.

My nephew thinks it’s because his body runs warmer and they smell the blood more easily. I think that’s likely. He’s always wanting to turn the ac to colder because he cannot take the heat.

I’m the same way. It hits 80 and I’m really getting uncomfortable. Every year I’m covered in mosquito bites. My husband has none. He feels great at warmer temps.

They would bite my ex, but leave me alone.

So one year, I bought her an electronic mosquito repellant sound device that you wear around your neck.

They swarmed her!!!

I'm probably about average for mosquito bites. They don't swarm around me, thank goodness, but they'll take a bite if they have the opportunity.

Here's a funny mosquito story from Boot Camp 25 years ago:

Parris Island has these big black and yellow striped mosquitos. One day 4 of us were on some errand, I don't even remember what, and it was raining.

One of those mosquitos got under the bill of my cover, right in front of my face, and just followed us along, enjoying the shelter from the rain.

When we got out of the rain, I swatted him (actually probably her) away.

My buddy says the mosquitos in Montana are so big they can stand flat footed and screw a turkey.

My late mother would just step out the door for 15 seconds and be bitten from head to toe. I could be outside for hours and not one bite. Dad and brother also had no problems with mosquitos. I thought maybe immunity to mosquitos was hereditary.

No one thing works for all. Do your own research. IMHO

Now however, Dawn blue dish soap does take the itch out faster (for me) .
It does not work on spider bites.

Haven’t tried it on fireant bites, yet.

THE BEST all around bug repellent, sun screen and skin moisturizer I have ever found is called "CACTUS JUICE"

Due to govt. bureaucracy regarding such claims and the need for Govt. studies, it is not advertised as a mosquito repellent..........but IT WORKS!

Cactus Juice was the only thing that "helped" against the sand flies in Honduras during my last two vacations there and we took everything...

All of their products have a pleasant scent

I read a story about a big construction project in Africa that was having a problem with lions attacking and eating the workers. It turned out that the lions would shun the smokers because it permeated their flesh and didn’t taste good to them. After some time passed cigarettes were in short supply.

I don't get mosquito bites, nor did my late mother. They alight on the skin, but fly away without biting.

However, I've been bitten by fire ants and bees....and, on many an occasion, I was bit by late-afternoon gnats on my Florida patio.

So there must be at least something on me for some critter or another to love, LOL.

I have used a lot of garlic in my lifetime. It doesn’t seem to help me fend off mosquitoes. They LOVE me! If I am outside, anyone in the vicinity is SAFE! They’ll come to me exclusively. My mother-in-law always says when we arrive at her house in VA in the early spring that we have gotten there ahead of the mosquitoes, but it seems that all I have to do is open the car door and they greet me in droves. I just returned from there with dozens of mosquito bites and this time...poison ivy! Aren’t I lucky!

As far as I know I’ve never been bitten by mosquitoes so in my opinion, mosquitoes can’t bite through steel. :-)

I have a mosquito net over my bed. Wife hates it, but I tell her, quit leaving the doors open. They always bite me and never my wife. 2am and here comes the buzzing and biting!

If they know which microbes are not attractive to mosquitoes, they can culture the microbes (like making yogurt), and sell it as a topical application.

If anyone finds this product available, please let us Freppers know about it.
