In the West it would be considered an innocuous albeit amateur tribute video to singer Pharrell Williams massively popular song Happy. But in Iran, a video of six men and unveiled women dancing in Tehran to hit song was enough to be arrested over.
Sol Production posted the tribute video on Monday to YouTube, which has already garnered nearly 40,000 views. Iranian police wasted no time in tracking down the happy Iranians, arresting them on Tuesday according to Al Arabiya.

Tehran police chief: “[A] vulgar clip that hurts public chastity.”
No surprise that happy feet get you arrested in a fun place such as Iran. After all, this is the Muzzie regime that wants nukes to use on Israel and the U.S.
“this is the Muzzie regime that wants nukes to use on Israel and the U.S.”
I’ll lay odds the first use of nukes in the middle east will be between two Muslim states. They talk incessantly about Israel. But the ones in the know don’t fear Israel. Israel could have vaporized them with impunity for the last thirty years and hasn’t. The first use will be Shia against Sunni.
Muslims are not against happiness per se.
They are happy to bomb.
Happy to stab.
Happy to shoot.
Happy to behead.
These are the things that make a good muslim happy.
Happpiness has been pretty much illegal in the US for the past six years, as well.
I saw the video on Fox and Friends this AM. One of those girls was hot (for an Iranian). Maybe because she didn’t have a sheet over her head.
Yeah we have our own Mullah in charge over here.
Morality Police, front and center!
What a grim life to lead.
The mainstream media is far and ride with this story...seems they like the song. :(
While Iranian’s are hung from construction cranes in town squares weekly for aposty, homosexuality, crimes we would consider relative minor, etc. Mass media indignation...not so much.
Yes, all the dancers have good moves, and the femals are pretty much NOT GUILTY. A lot of attractive Persian women; too bad their country is AFU.
Sheesh...”females”
So what did they do to the Shiny People?
Persian women are gorgeous.
