Give him the “real men of genius” award....
In which case why worry about it? As Keynes said, “In the long run we’re all dead anyway”
Another one of these global warming know-it-alls like Michio Kaku-Kukka.
We’ll survive if we can find what space age technology Cro Magnon man used to survive global warming.
Ah, shifting gears on the climate hustle.
Scientists seem to believe humanity survived the Toba eruption. Not sure why any other event would be different.
I’m OK with it as long as Neil deGrasse Tyson doesn’t survive either.
Balmy weather and piña coladas will kill us all...
Neil is a liberal in many cases, but a very pragmatic dude. His Star Talk podcast is one of my favorites. He believes in global warming, in science and in the scientific method. Unfortunately (or fortunately as it may be to some of us) he also hangs somewhere on the libertarian Left, but I really love the guy and his promotion of science in practice.
The world has always survived and thrived on global warming, and it will continue to do so in the future, if that is what lies in store for us. A very long and harsh cooling cycle is an entirely different matter, one that will require large supplies of readily available energy, like coal, oil, natural gas, wood, all those horrible carbon sources the kooks dread. Without them, we could all die.
So There’s HOPE?The Enviro-Wackos Should Be Delighted!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No smoking hot spot1. The greenhouse signature is missing. We have been looking and measuring for years, and cannot find it.
Each possible cause of global warming has a different pattern of where in the planet the warming occurs first and the most. The signature of an increased greenhouse effect is a hot spot about 10km up in the atmosphere over the tropics. We have been measuring the atmosphere for decades using radiosondes: weather balloons with thermometers that radio back the temperature as the balloon ascends through the atmosphere. They show no hot spot. Whatsoever.
If there is no hot spot then an increased greenhouse effect is not the cause of global warming. So we know for sure that carbon emissions are not a significant cause of the global warming. If we had found the greenhouse signature then I would be an alarmist again.
