Looking at current goal difference, you have to think if City win out, they'll win the League.

Of course, with the kind of irony only sports can provide, what's the one team left on City's schedule that legitimately have a chance to prevent them from catching Liverpool - EVERTON.

Interesting, I was looking at La Liga, which is also going down to the wire, and they break their ties by head-to-head results, and not goal different, I’m surprised the BPL doesn’t do it the same way.

Either way, it’s shaping up to be a dandy final day of the season, with both the title and the drops to be determined.

Yes, especially with each team playing each other TWICE, once at each team's home stadium, head to head seems way fairer as a tie breaker.

For what it is worth, Villareal also had two own goals this week against Barcelona - and they were up 2-0 and in control of the game at the time. Of course Barca then went on to win with a goal of their own from....do I even have to say?

Yes, I saw that....but I’m happy Barca won it for Tito.

Everton are also aiming for 5th place, Europa League or better being only a point out of 4th place but Arsenal has a game-in-hand and all of their opponents, 3, in the bottom half of the table. Indeed, Tottenham are only 3 points behind Everton at that.

I was hoping Fulham could stay up but they need to defeat Hull City and they only got a draw. Norwich and Cardiff will go down and it will be difficult for Fulham to stay up.

Wow, I just noticed FFC’s goal difference is horrendous! That won’t help in the relegation battle either.

So is Everton going to really put out today? A draw would help Liverpool let alone a win.

West Ham defeated Spurs earlier so 5th place for Everton is very likely even if they don’t win today. Arsenal in 4th would be difficult to catch.

Everton has 5th locked up now....I think they can beat City, but I don’t see Arsenal dropping any points.

Fulham and Cardiff are gone.

Looks like Sunderland made the great escape.

And did you see how Birmingham just barely survived staying in the Championship? Hard to believe they were in the Premier League just a few years ago and won a League Cup.

The Championship playoff teams are set: Derby, QPR, Wigan and Brighton. Reading blew it.

So much for Giggs’ perfect managerial record.

Looks like Van Gaal is going to be the guy at Old Trafford.

OUCH! Barca gives up a last minute goal to lowly Getafe, so that pretty much hands the La Liga title to Atletico.

And I think Atletico will beat Real in the CL Final, especially with Xavi Alonso not available for Real.

Hull City, by virtue of being in the FA Cup Final, now qualify for Europa League, since Arsenal clinched fourth.

Europa League probably a better fit for Everton, even if not as lucrative.

Everton can’t afford to get into a spending race with the big boys. I like the fact they aren’t owned by some rich Arab or Russian oligarch.

Sunderland actually is a huge or at least big club, their Stadium of Light seats? 40,000. And they’ve been relegated a few times, so I’m glad they are staying up. Mainly because they have dropped enough times.

Wigan in Jan and Feb were on fire but they have dropped a number of games lately, Derby drew today and won at least 4 previous so they are in form. Brighton and Hove look like they haven’t lost in awhile either.
