An image of children play-acting the crucifixion of Jesus Christ at an unidentified school in Brazil for Holy Week complete with fake wounds and a crown of thorns has spread across the Internet.
Wearing a loin cloth and a fake painted beard, the boy who acts as Jesus holds his two arms above his neck, to signify the last agonizing hours of Christ on the cross.
Flecked across his body are red marks from his flogging at the hands of the Romans - played by two boys with mock-feathered galea helmets, who will presumably offer him fake vinegar and pretend to stab his side to ensure he has died at the culmination of the play.
In the front of the picture are two young girls playing the role of Jesus' mother, Mary and follower Mary Magdalene, who according to the Bible tearfully witnessed his death on Calvary.
The picture has been shared and liked some 230,000 times on Facebook and the reactions to the picture appear to vary from country to country.

“Sparks outrage???”
How can this spark outrage?
Do I even need to guess what would happen if they were re-enacting a Robert Mapplethorpe photography session?
Outrage? Why outrage?
“Outrage? Why outrage?”
I have no clue. If Muzzies were to beat their bodies till blood went everywhere they’d say “Celebrate diversity”. Kids do a play of the crucifixion and the left goes nuts.
I take that back, I do know why. Jesus died and rose again. Satan does not want that little fact celebrated.
It’s sad when a Passion Play sparks outrage. I doubt it’s genuine outrage. I mean, it’s Brazil.
The pictures went viral. Means they were seen all over the world.
I like the little Roman soldier hats. They are all very sweet looking kids. The play probably makes the Bible account more understandable to them.
I tried to post the image, but it posts with some of the cooments.....bah!

Bingo.
Without the resurrection Christianity is a lie, the resurrection is proof that Jesus is who He said He was — the God of Life.
(And if Death could overcome the Lord of Life, how could He save us from sin, which causes death?)
Nonetheless, Jesus and all the angels and saints in heaven are smiling at the sweetness of their little souls.
I’m guessing the “outrage”, as is the case with many of these fake controversies, is mostly limited to nothing more than a bunch of internet comments.
