Australian researchers published findings this week on a newly-discovered plant compound that destroys cancer cells, but leaves healthy cells unharmed. They found it in possibly the last place you'd look for a cancer cure: the family of plants that brings us cancer's number-one culprit, tobacco.

Too bad the cigarette companies didn’t use their research more appropriately, they could have discovered it. A much better use of the plant than smoking it.
A homeopathic physician would not be surprised.

The natives of this continent had medicinal uses for tobacco for centuries.
Apparently, this is why my grandmother smoked until she was 90 and then lived another 9 years after that. When she did quit, I asked her if she missed smoking and she said ‘Nope, not really’.
