I didn’t make any picks other than I told a basketball savvy friend that I chose Florida before the tourney started. I was surprised when he told me that was a good pick. The reason is Florida is really not a basketball state. Much more of a football area.

LOL. I actually checked his bracket earlier tonight after Kentucky won. I can't say that mine was much better because there were so many upsets this year. It's not unusual that one or more number one seeds don't make it to the final four, but it's very unusual to have both a 7th and 8th seed as two of the four. The teams that played this weekend were very evenly matched.

So, he had one Final Four team (Florida), two teams that lost in the Elite Eight (Arizona and Mich St) and the defending champs who many people picked to return to the Final Four, but lost in the Sweet Sixteen (Louisville). That seems like a pretty normal bracket. The guy’s presidency is certainly an “epic fail,” but not his bracket.
