I get pain in my toe which was removed several years ago.

The problem is the pain receptors in his brain and not the nerves in his hand.

That's what I thought of, as well. He'd better keep that guillotine handy, his neck may need to make an appointment with it.

He had the pain while the hand was still attached. The sad part is he may have had relief with simple physical therapy.

I had moderate to severe pain in both hands and ended up getting surgery on the nerves. The relief was temporary. Later, an exercise physiologist showed me some stretching exercises; the results are amazing.
