Wolfie this one is for you.

I am mid forties. I grew up with parents who preached respect for the law and respect for LEO.

I think that is typical for my parents generation, and for mine.

However as I grew up and experienced the “freedoms” this country offered, and compared that to my readings of Adams, Jefferson, Franklin, and many others I become disillusioned. Then I ran into the “give law enforcement the benefit of the doubt crowd”, probably from my parents generation.

The fact is that the liberties enshrined in the Constitution, and in English Common Law are not even entertained in reality. We live in a Police State. I don’t understand why voters fund municipal courts and police. i always vote no. No to new buildings. No to new computer systems. No to new cars. No. No. NO. But these bills always pass. Somebody, a whole lot of somebodies vote yes.

If a member of Law Enforcement is reading this, here is my message to you: Your institution has squandered the blind and unyielding support of the law abiding members of society. When the riots come, and the crowd pulls you out of your car and lights you on fire I will just watch you burn.

Your “profession” is a corrupt protection racket and good riddance. Have a nice day.

Honestly the man was lucky that he was not killed by the cops on the side of the road. Very lucky.

Electra is on the ‘short-cut’ from Dallas to Denver. Sounds like it is the Ludowici of Texas.

I’m a former LEO and I don’t approve of the current thuggery either ESPECIALLY gun grabbing and keeping concerned and patriotic citizens from protesting, paticularly when its well justified! FYI - small town cops have been carrying on like this forever. We just weren’t as connected before. Now everybody has cameras built into their phones and they can post whatever they recoreded on Youtube within minutes of taking it. Now we see this type of stuff immediatelu instead of having to wait several days to hear about it from a MSM news outlet.

I think all US cars should have dashcams

They're pretty universal in Russia and becoming increasingly common in the rest of Europe as aftermarket accessories because of their utility in traffic court disputes and such.

If you travel anywhere up 287 from Wichita Falls to Amarillo, TX you will find that there are many small towns that get their revenue by targeting out—of-towners. I imagine a sting operation up and own that corrider would land almost half of their LEOs in jail. Just my .02

Well after reviewing the footage I think I know where the victim went astray. When he made the jackboot comment. That’s called escalation and he should have stopped there. He was right in telling the officer to stop searching the vehicle. Clearly the officer was conducting a search but using the liberal tactic of renaming it to “not a search” He opened the door and stuck his head inside and even leaned over clearly violating the 4th amendment. He should be fired or at minimum suspended without pay. It was very obvious this “team” uses this tactic to go on fishing expeditions and most likely use it often.

On that very route Guthrie, TX was once considered the speed trap capital of West Texas. May still be. Lone city cop in that little town drove an orange Mustang for a patrol car. He was a renowned, infamous ticket writing fool.

Not just small town cops.

Big city municipal courts, bailbondsmen, tow truck companies, local attorneys, political machines have been preying on the public for years. Many people believe that without this municipal machinery chaos would reign. I say it reigns but the tyranny is worst under color of law.

LE is a disgraceful profession. Anybody, from the clerks to the judges, prosecutors and defense attorneys are making a living laughing down their sleeves at the voters.

People who become LEO, probably don’t go into it knowing what they are getting into. But the whole system is corrupt. Judges are just welfare for law school grads. It is a ridiculous money making scheme that people vote for out of fear.

Listened to the trial. Greenwood needs to be disbarred immediately. Completely inappropriate statements that were intended to intimidate the defendant. Definitely typical small town slimeball prosectuor tactics that exemplify exactly what is wrong with small town traffic court system in full display. Its a good thing the defendant was videoing and taping everything.

God bless this guy for taking them on. His only mistake was talking with them at all, but admittedly, they caught him outside of the vehicle and he had no way of knowing this would go south so quickly. Standard procedure for a traffic stop when you know you haven't done anything wrong:

1. Stay in the vehicle, doors locked, window cracked enough to hear and be heard.
2. Ask, "Am I under arrest?" If you are under arrest, you are obliged to identify yourself and submit, otherwise ...
3. Ask, "Am I free to go?"
4. Repeat as necessary.

You are not obliged to say anything else. Anything else you might say WILL be used against you, so say nothing, especially if you are arrested. The days of polite cops who know the law are gone. Miranda says "Anything you say Can and Will be used against you"... Not might and maybe.

If you are arrested, you must submit, but as this video and court proceedings prove, you are under no obligation to identify yourself unless you are under arrest. Citing him for "Failure to Identify" when he wasn't under arrest was bogus. Searching (both the vehicle and his person) without probable cause or a warrant was bogus. Citing him for failure to produce a Driver's license when he wasn't driving was bogus.

This guy should file the 1983 against the cops, the prosecutor and the judge imho. If citizens don't start pushing back, things will only get worse.
42 U.S.C. § 1983 (US Code - Section 1983): Civil action for deprivation of rights:

Every person who, under color of any statute, ordinance, regulation, custom, or usage, of any State or Territory or the District of Columbia, subjects, or causes to be subjected, any citizen of the United States or other person within the jurisdiction thereof to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured by the Constitution and laws, shall be liable to the party injured in an action at law, suit in equity, or other proper proceeding for redress, except that in any action brought against a judicial officer for an act or omission taken in such officer's judicial capacity, injunctive relief shall not be granted unless a declaratory decree was violated or declaratory relief was unavailable. For the purposes of this section, any Act of Congress applicable exclusively to the District of Columbia shall be considered to be a statute of the District of Columbia.

The Judge is culpable as well. Traffic court is a partnership between the city, the D.A. and the Judges. That is true EVERYWHERE. Why people are not mad i just don’t understand. These clerks, judges, cops, prosecutors are all paid with public funds approved by elected officials. ELECTED! That means somebody voted for this. Take away the public funds and you remove the power. Shutter the municipal court and lease the space for something useful. Like icecream stands or sandwich shops.

The guy should have first played the entire video and then started the commentary, I don’t want to sit through 19 minutes to eventually get to see what happened.

Because everyone got too busy, too distracted, too fat and too lazy, and too complacent. Now that our liberties are at stake and we realize that a foreign Invader was installed to remove all of our constitutionl protections and take over our nation we are finally waking up. It was a clever move and took much planning but now the cat’s out of the bag. Now if we can just awaken the slow-learners and racially blinded we might have a good chance of turning this around.
