I would love to see a Jesus movie where Jesus isn’t portrayed as a weak chested, pacifist wimp.

Jesus, who was a carpenter, who made a whip of cords and cleared the Temple, who called the Pharisees on the carpet time and again, who had strength of character and didn’t back down in face of opposition.

But no, we can’t have a Jesus who ever gets angry or has harsh words for anyone.

The real Jesus would have been a man’s man, not the wuss that is portrayed in most movies.

That said, I will be seeing Son of God sot aht should I run into any non-believers who have seen it, I can carry on an intelligent discussion with them and not depend on their recollection or description of what happened, which will likely not be entirely accurate.

Thank you for that link. I watched this many years ago and had not thought of it for all those years. I have spent this snowy day watching the entire thing. A day well spent. Again. Thank you and God bless you.

Having just spent 4 plus hours watching Zephirelli’s series in it’s entirely, I must say that it is the most detailed and complete depiction that I have seen in any Biblical movie. The only part of the film that does not cover the event thoroughly is the Crucifixion and resurrection. Jesus’ life story is as complete as it is possible to cover it. And the actor playing Jesus is very believable. Not too overly “pretty”. Very good film. I have not yet seen “Son of God.”
