(Obama-Nation) Economic Study Suggests We're Heading For A Blade Runner Future

Economic study suggests we're heading for a Blade Runner future

Earlier this month, a group of economists released the results of a massive study looking at the economic prospects of people from across the United States. What they found was that the U.S. is like a patchwork quilt of different countries, where some regions offer people the economic prospects of a typical developed nation — and other regions are more like a developing country.

This study debunks a few myths about the United States, including the idea that wealthy nations have wealthy citizens. It's a powerful reminder that nations are hardly unified entities, and that the interests of one region often clash with the interests of another.

But it's most importantly a measure of how nations change over time, as new generations come of age. The economists wanted to know whether children in the US were likely to be wealthier relative to their parents. Growing up in the U.S., kids are often told that things are getting better for each generation — and many parents work hard at low-paying jobs with the belief that their children will have it better than they do. But are those expectations realistic? The researchers looked at economic data for all people born in the US between 1980-82. They determined where each individual had grown up by looking at where they lived at the age of 16. Then the economists checked to see what each person's income was in 2011-12, when they'd reached the age of 30.

Had the discussion with my son a few days ago. Wish they would stop making distopian future movies as we already are living in a distopian present.

Thanks Dhimmicrats, Thanks GOPe. Couldn’t do it without you.

More like Snow Crash, but there was no movie made of it.

The old gated communities that the upper class and the upper middle class live in expanded into small city-states.

Teenagers are hypersexualized. “Real” life is digital and online, while molecular real life is full of poverty and violence. Goods and services like pizza delivery are still, but they have to be run by organized crime to make them profitable.

The populace of the U.S. does its daily monetary transactions in an Eastern currency (in the case, Hong Kong dollars) while the actual American currency is so hyperinflated that they had to pass laws to keep people from using cash as toilet paper.

So yeah, Neal Stephenson predicted Obama’s America in 1992.

With lab rats, they implanted electrodes in the pleasure center of the brain and allowed the rats to push a bar to stimulate it there.

What they found was the rats would push the bar to the extent that they would stop eating and they would die.

The male-female imbalance in China and to a lesser extent India make development of such a thing a near-term likelihood, in my estimation.

IOW, redistribution is needed, along with a 200 percent increase in the minimum one-size-fits-all wage, Obamacare, free food, free rent, free transportation...

we already have it...its called the computer babe where our young men proudly yank at it calling it sex or something...

many males have already quit...wimpy, porn addicted, weed smoking, lazy living at home until they're 30.

as it is, right now, it does not pay to work....to save...it pays more to be lazy, to collect welfare, food stamps, free college, free phones, free transportation, and then you get to whine for free all day long and in front of the tv cameras....

it pays to be on SS disability...it will pay you what you might have gotten at age 65...it pays to have medicaid as your main health insurance because you pay absolutely nothing...

Of course it pays to work — it doesn’t benefit anyone however to pay taxes. The welfare cases come in two broad categories — those who really aren’t able to support themselves (and often, unable to manage their own affairs) and those who use their alleged poverty to get welfare in order to avoid the no visible means of support dead giveaway for their criminal activities, such as robbery, pimping, and prostitution.
