Real Housewives Of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice are reportedly close to making a plea deal with the US Attorney's office on 41 counts of fraud. An insider told Touch Weekly that Joe will serve at least five years in federal prison while Teresa, 41, could escape with a maximum of five years probation - if they plead guilty to the charges and if the judge approves the deal in court on Tuesday. That's a big break on the 50 years jail time the pair were initially threatened with. Joe, 41, is also likely to be given permission to remain in the country. Because he is an Italian and not a US citizen, he could have been deported after conviction, according to prosecutors. However, the couple will reportedly have to pay up to $11 million in restitution. The Giudices were charged with 39 counts of fraud last July plus two more counts in November. The charges allege that between 2001 and 2011 they engaged in conspiracy to commit mail fraud and wire fraud. They were both charged with bank fraud, loan application fraud and bankruptcy fraud. Joe also is charged with failing to file tax returns for 2005-2009. They pleaded not guilty and the judge denied their request for separate trials.

Reality TV Ping
They might as well make it $110 million in restitution, they have ZERO left
Good. I always thought that they should have worked with the investigators to get themselves out of at least going to jail. Sometimes when you make mistakes it is better to admit them, work on the punishment and get on with your lives. Good for them!!!!!

whatever happened with that big a$$ mansion they were building because she just thought it was too gross to live in a “used” house? they were putting top of line everything in that house...
I don’t know but maybe they stopped construction with all the legal stuff going on. Maybe she will continue after this is done.
i decided to check into it... she gets to keep the house... she, of course, has to make the payments and pay the taxes on it...
You’re not missing anything, Scout.
They’re a**holes.
The reality shows all have people with questionable backgrounds. The producers want this as they can gin up the ratings and make more money. The first show I saw was “Housewives of Orange County” There have been several arrests and bankruptcies and divorces over the seasons that I have read about.
If this is what it takes to get rid of these nouveau riche scum....so be it.
All aboard the Karma bus!
15 ( Teresa ) and 41 ( Joe ) months in prison per the Sentencing Yesterday.
