Even though they're saying it will be some time before they may be in a position to take Bitcoin, the fact they are putting the means to do so in place says a lot about where they feel the future of Crytocurrency is headed.

Right now, Bitcoin and other coins could use a bit of good news - this will be received with an extra air enthusiasm by the whole community.

Who needs a "digital wallet" that can be hacked by hordes of eager hackers from all over the world? Google had one, and I don't know anyone who ever used it.

I can't say about others, but I personally don't have a problem with methods of paying for stuff. Bitcoin does not solve any of my problems. We have credit cards, bank accounts, Paypal, checks, cash... where does the Bitcoin fit in, and what need does it fulfill?

As of right now, BTC took a serious (80%) dive at Mt. Gox, and by all indications this is because Mt. Gox is insolvent, and the holders of money there are trying to get 20 cents on a dollar if they are lucky... But at this very moment there are far more sellers than buyers and the price continues to creep down. Fools and their money...

I steer away from anything Google. I have both a Paypal and Ebay account however. They both have name recognition and trust of a large part of the public.

As far as Mt. Gox, a lot of people are scratching their heads of that one. I've even considered the possibility that they're working secretly for the "other side".

The price of Btc has stabilized above $600 on the other exchanges, down about $200 from its high. Mt. Gox was always quite a bit higher than everyone else and hard to get your fiat back out of.

Some recent and interesting developments recently with the dollar and gold if you haven't been following those markets.

They will be accepting Bitcoin very soon now that they’ve showed their hand.
Remember how long it took Overstock? They rolled it out 2 months early. eBay will be coming along very shortly!

Yep, that's what I'm thinking too.

Maybe they're secretly building a Btc nest egg too, knowing the price will go up when they announce?
