SALT LAKE CITY A 6-year-old boy has been hospitalized after an attack by a neighbor's pit bull.
April Hancock said she was watching out a window Wednesday evening as her son, Wyatt Abraham, was playing soccer in a neighbor's yard and the dog snapped its chain. The dog's owner wrestled the animal off, but released it as Wyatt began to run away, and the dog attacked again, Hancock said.
Wyatt was severely bitten on his face, requiring hours of reconstructive surgery, and another surgery is scheduled for deep puncture wounds to his arm.

That’s gross
Dead dog....
Good news.
Hancock .... said she fears the owner has attempted to sic the dog on her family. "We were moving our stuff in and he was saying, 'Oh, get 'em. Get 'em. Oh, good boy,'" Hancock said. "We got in a fight over him trying to sic his dog on our dog because we have pit bulls as well."
May God bless and keep this child safe from so many idiots.
Dog should have been dead before this happened.
Years ago a friend of mine had a pit bull that attacked his daughter ripped her cheek open and almost took her eye out.
After they got her sewed up at the emergency room child’s protective services and animal control showed up at his house.
They wanted to take his daughter and his dog.
He got his shotgun and told them they weren’t taking his dog.
He went over, shot the dog and said now if you want it you can have it.
Child protective services dropped wanting to take his daughter.
You posted the reality - something thw PB worshipping brigade has little familiarity with.
But he is such a nice loving dog... I never dreamed that he would kill that child....
Notice to all idiots, Pitt Bulls Kill and attack kids.....
SO NOW YOU KNOW!!!!!!! NOW YOU CAN NEVER SAY AGAIN THAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW.....
I’m glad you added the alert tag, otherwise I would have pictured a chihuahua.
How I miss Chet on here.
Ping
Hope his daughter appreciates his loss....
I found this part interesting. The guy releases the dog before the child was secure and so the child gets attacked again? strange.
The alert should read: (Pit Bull OWNER alert)
The guy should not have released the dog at all.
He should have made sure IT was secure, not the child.
Actually, at that point, couldn’t the guy be sued for negligence?
He knew the dog already had just attacked someone and he let it go anyway when that person was still in the vicinity? Only moments after the attack happened?
What is wrong with the guy?
Gee, It never did that before.

The story I got from one of the family members was that as Wyat was running away that the dog got away from the owner.
Oh and to the people talking about them owning pitbulls too. The kids parents are upset that this made the news because it makes pitbulls sound bad.
Makes me sick too.
Actually that makes more sense than the way the journalist wrote the story. tragic. thanks
After ripping his daughters face open he didn’t see it as a loss.
He thoroughly enjoyed it.
