Same in the DFW area, and I believe, for the same reason we see bad driving exploding across the state. Liberal transplants.
First on my list: Any criticism of Obama is racially motivated.
Heh heh heh. This needs to be pinged out to any nutjob liberal from California, Colorado, or the North East that is considering a move to Texas.
It sucks here. Don’t come.
Poor California, there is just no hope for it.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with going the speed limit, or just over, as long as you don't do it in the left lane. In Texas the magic number is 8 mph over as far as I know, and if it's near the end of the month, it's best to stick to 5 mph over or under since the smokeys are catching up to make their quotas.
I see you've still got a hate on for Texas. I guess you'll never get tired of riding that hobby horse.
Kettle...pot...go figure...
Probably an Austin lib. I guess Texas was too red for his liking. Why don't you move here to replace him? :-)
Don't be so serious, friend. It's just a little tongue-in-cheek fun.
Sounds great. Where I grew up in Texas was flat and during the summers, hot. We had milk cows, chickens, pigs and cattle. Stated working in the fields with my folks when I was about 10.
In my book, you get an "F" in American history. Some 180 brave souls at the Alamo held off approximately 3000 Mexican soldiers for 13 days. This gave Sam Houston the time he needed to assemble his army, and led to the victory at the Battle of San Jacinto.
I'm by no means an expert at history, but your remarks do a disservice to the brave men that fought and died during the battles for Texas independence.
I agree with that. But in my comment, I was referring to a long road with only one lane going in each direction for miles.
Don’t be so serious, friend. It’s just a little tongue-in-cheek fun.

As was my response.
You may want to take some of your own advice.
Remove the pine trees and underbrush and you would see every trailer and car on blocks there is. There is just as much trash there it just migrated into the woods.
Most of the Alamo fighters were from somewhere else.
Mmm.... no comment.
Lighten up, Francis. We Texans are generally a pretty friendly bunch.
The name, Texas, derives from an old Indian word meaning, 'friend'.
Dallas is crazy. Imagine in your mind how a psychopath would drive, and that gives you an idea of the average Dallas commuter. Pickup trucks for some reason seem to be the main culprit.
At least up North the fast drivers seem to have some sort of concern for their lives and the lives of other drivers.
I knew that had to be the case. I thought it strange that in Boston nobody seemed to be worried about being pulled over going 90 in a 65. However I didn't see that many people pulled over anyways. Maybe cop union benefits in Mass stipulate that cops only have to get out of their cars a certain number of times per month.
Since GW moved to TX when he was <2, I assume most Texans would classify him as one of them.
If you're going to exclude him because he was born elsewhere, you're also going to have to exclude Sam Houston, who didn't move to TX till he was 40.
The author of this piece is by no means a typical Texan. In fact, he/she admits to being a Sore/Loserman and Querrie/Edwards voter. The author is clearly an Austin liberal who wishes that the rest of the state were more like Berkely on the Brazos.
When we first moved here from California eight years ago, there wasn't nearly as much wild driving in DFW. As a matter of fact, I thought that DFW drivers were pretty well behaved.
Something's changed in the last few years, because now it's a madhouse out there. Yeah, testosterone-challenged idiots in pick-up trucks are a problem, but mostly it's the little Beemers and Toyota driving youngsters who are out of control.
