Great plot....I liked the version with Jane Seymour, better, though...

Just me-—never was a fan of “Ashley” (Howard)-—he always seemed so weak-willed to me after “Gone with the Wind”. He always is this “dreamer”-—foppish dandy, and so he didn’t work as the Scarlet Pimpernel, who wasn’t that way.

Always loved Jane Seymour(one of my favorite Bond girls). I think the 1982 remake combined “The Scarlet Pimpernel” with another one of Baroness Orczy’s novels so we saw more of Percy’s courtship of Marguerite.

Many thanks..I never ev en knew of the Jane Seymour version..and happily, my library has it..

FYI..if you can manage to find it, the original novel is a good read..

Have you seen “The Scarlet and the Black”? It’s about the “Scarlet Pimpernel” of the Vatican in WWII Italy.
