Didn’t we do this 50 years ago?
The USSR sent a rover to the Moon, and did a sample return mission, all unmanned of course, after our final manned mission. That was in the area of 40 years ago. The lunar rovers we used weren’t as sophisticated I suppose, because they required human operators riding in the seats. :’)
