New York Governor Cuomo has demanded that those he disagrees with leave New York. New York City Mayor DeBlasio endorses Cuomo's statement "100%".
At a memorial after the shooting of Gabby Giffords, Judge Roll, and other bystanders, Obama gave a speech in which he said:
And if, as has been discussed in recent days, their death helps usher in more civility in our public discourse, let us remember it is not because a simple lack of civility caused this tragedy -- it did not -- but rather because only a more civil and honest public discourse can help us face up to the challenges of our nation in a way that would make them proud. We should be civil because we want to live up to the example of public servants like John Roll and Gabby Giffords, who knew first and foremost that we are all Americans, and that we can question each other's ideas without questioning each other's love of country, and that our task, working together, is to constantly widen the circle of our concern so that we bequeath the American dream to future generations.
They believe -- they believe and I believe that we can be better. Those who died here, those who saved lives here, they help me believe. We may not be able to stop all evil in the world, but I know that how we treat one another, that's entirely up to us.
And I believe that, for all our imperfections, we are full of decency and goodness and that the forces that divide us are not as strong as those that unite us.
It's been more than a week and Obama has not condemned the divisive and inflammatory remarks of New York's governor and the City's mayor. Obama's silence renders his Tucson speech nothing but empty rhetoric, and tacit consent to the outrageous and intolerant remarks coming from New York's politicians.
I am actually growing increasingly disturbed by such rhetoric. Today we now have Schumer ordering around the IRS to go after the TEA Party...
Governor Cuomo,
If the polls show a majority of New Yorkers are pro-life, pro-2nd amendment, etc. will you then leave the governor’s office and the state, or at the very least implement those policies? I did’nt think so.
The President called for civility. So STFU!
Schumer’s statements are incredible. This is what happens when Congress allows abuse to go unpunished. (Insert “Boehner is detestable” rant here)
My God,...how far does this cabal have to go before they’re impeached or punished in some way??? The problem, ultimately, lies in the complete failure of those gutless cowards that we call republicans to do their duty in going after the bastards...
Is it them...or is it us, that are the gutless cowards in the face of known evil?
I remember when Gov. George Wallace told MLK that. He was a Democrat too.
If a republican Governor had expressed something akin to what Andrew the Lisper said, a Federal probe for “hate speech” would already be underway...
If a Republican governor had said “’gays’ are not welcome in this state” all hell would have broken loose.
There would be boycotts of the state, mass divestiture of bonds etc. by municipalities and universities, calls for resignation, investigations, civil suits, and so forth ad nauseum.

Liberal thugs are turning up the heat...
They're trying to incite their criminal class constituents to start killing us...
It's not going to work.
Even the criminal class doesn't hate us as liberal elites. Dem goons are going to be stuck hiring thugs to do their dirty work.

It's not going to work.
Even the criminal class doesn't hate us as MUCH AS liberal elites. Dem goons will have to hire thugs to do their dirty work.
The GOP elected officials look at their duty a little differently...
They perceive their duty as keeping the con going as long as possible by destroying any serious conservative opposition.
