It is referenced in the article itself.
http://arxiv.org/abs/1305.3913
564degC, 511degC, 495degC, etc. throughout the report. This report was aiming for energy density, not necessarily just output in degrees, etc.

I haven’t posted a “Rossi says” article in over 2 years. And this isn’t one of those, either. It is a company announcing they are acquiring the technology. Go ahead and throw those guys under the bus, since you’ve thrown tons of others more qualified than you.

They you go again proclaiming something not a proven fact.
***7 independent scientists proclaimed it. It is only not a proven fact when one puts on skeptopath-colored glasses. Like all those 14,700 replications that happened BEFORE Rossi even came onto the scene.

And it will probably have been built in either Korea or China or both.
***That’s one of the saddest truisms I’ve seen on FR lately. America has lost its edge, even on something as disruptive as this technology.

Ah I got it now. Thanks for the link.
Wow, that is really some usable heat then. You could build a steam engine for electrical power and then the excess heat to provide hot water / heating for the house, possibly even heating a green house. I could see this being viable for a farm or small business if the price is right.

***After further review, this is yet another lie from you. I wrote about the energy density in a paragraph that started “I think of it as...” so your lie is doubly wrong because I was not proclaiming it as a proven fact and it also happens to be an inductively proven fact.

The possibilities are as paradigm-changing as the introduction of gun powder.

"Wow, that is really some usable heat then." In and of itself, it certainly "is" usable heat. But keep in mind that the technology is at the stage of the first one cylinder Diesel engine. Interestingly enough, one of the materials that could possibly be used in place of nickel is tungsten, which has a MUCH higher melting point. I think much higher temperatures will become available as the tech advances.

***I hadn’t heard that. Got any links? I had heard that Rossi used tungsten to separate H2 gas into H1 monoatomic gas and that was his initial secret “catalyst”...

Exactly
If the cost of a unit can be brought down to where an average home owner can take advantage of the system, the entire power production and distribution model could be thrown out the window. Instead of buying a furnace, ac, hot water heater, and buying electricity from the grid, the home owner can produce their own ... everything.
Further, if you can get the system to about 250 hp / 180 kw power range, then even transportation becomes available for a re-think.
I had been kind of just monitoring the eCat off and on. Now it seems really exciting. I hope it takes off soon.

"Got any links? I had heard that Rossi used tungsten to separate H2 gas into H1 monoatomic gas and that was his initial secret catalyst.." Tungsten has been known to soak up huge quantities of hydrogen since the experiments of Irving Langmuir when he was trying to find the perfect fill gas for the electric light bulb.
There are "some" indications that Langmuir thought he had sometimes gotten more energy out of his tungsten-hydrogen system than he had put in. He asked one of the top physicists of the day (Bohr??) and was told that such was "impossible"....so he dropped it (sound familiar???).
I'll see if I can dredge up a link or two...but it has been some time back that I read it.

The possibilities are as paradigm-changing as the introduction of gun powder. Even more, perhaps, since our entire world runs on electricity.
This is staggering.

Looks like a mere shell company? Started in 2012... No key people listed in BusinessWeek profile besides Darden... No products... No web page... Supposedly working in NC Triangle, but really based in TX.

Mr. Darden earned an MRP in environmental planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a JD from Yale Law School and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar.

Confirmed: Raleighs Cherokee buys into controversial nuclear tech device
Executives at Cherokee Investment Partners
in Raleigh have confirmed that its affiliate company, Industrial Heat LLC, has acquired the intellectual property and licensing rights to a nuclear device from Italy that some say could one day replace electric or fossil fuels.
Its called the Energy Catalyzer, or E-Cat, and is described as a low energy nuclear reaction technology that was developed by Italian scientist Andrea Rossi

The E-Cat is designed to use catalysts to produce large amounts of thermal heat using hydrogen gas and powdered nickel metal. . . .

still question the chemistry, the physics and the economics behind the technology. . . . [You bet they question it!]
Darden confirmed in an interview with Triangle Business Journal in early January
http://www.bizjournals.com/triangle/blog/2014/01/is-raleighs-cherokee-trying-to-cut-an.html)
that Industrial Heat was one of the topics he discussed with Chinese officials on a recent trip to China.
The world needs a new, clean and efficient energy source. Such a technology would raise the standard of living in developing countries and reduce the environmental impact of producing energy, Vaughn stated.

This is actually an amazing discovery. It’s a perpetual stagnant machine. Right now it’s 30 years from realization. 10 years from now it’ll still be 30 years from realization.

You MUST be talking about "hot fusion", not cold. Only the correct number isn't 30.....it's 50.
