Quality is something we all want when it comes to cars, especially older used ones. But how do we get it?
I have been studying this question in one form or another for nearly 14 years now. I began my automotive career as a car dealer, buying and selling hundreds of vehicles a year. As time went on, I became an auto auctioneer, a remarketing manager and a part-owner of a wholesale auto auction.

My daughter starts driving this year. We are thinking of getting her a used Volvo. For the safety and because she is something of a Swedophile.
What might have helped me to have such good luck was that I had done the Microlon treatment. Something like slick 50. It used about a half a quart of oil(Castrol 20W50) per 3K miles. Also downshifting helps on brake wear. Still have original clutch disk.
