I used to live in an apartment,,,on the fourth floor of a building in San Francisco, this back in the 1970 s.

On many occasions we would get a quake large enough to note the building swaying... as if in a weak ...tornado.

the quakes seem to all be in the eastern hemisphere for now...but we know that wont be the case for long.

I was in Japan in the 1950s and early 60s.
Quakes were felt almost weekly.

The slow, side-to-side quakes were no problem.
The hard, up-and-downers could break windows.
