We just convicted a guy of brutally stabbing to death a Scout Leader on a hike with a scout on one of those damned converted railway walking paths through the country. After he beat up his mother.

He got 45 years. With good time, he’ll only be 45 when he is eligible for release.

For some people rage builds over time. More so than the “heat of the moment”. He dwelt on it for 6 months and then acted out what he had thought about for a while.

I think you watch to many shows :) A lot of people house pent up anger until it boils over. Who knows... the guy got up and had a bad day. Something happened that sent him over the edge, and he acted out what he had thought about for a while. I think that's more common or expected than a guy gets fired and immediately goes and kills the bosses wife and daughter.

Article says the guy got caught because he was telling others about it. That's par for the course.

We live two miles from the crime scene. The people in Westfield are extremely pissed off right now. The animals from Indianapolis have been pushing their way north for some time now, bringing their home invasions and robberies. People are arming themselves and ready to end this.

And that is what it takes to end the stuff. We’re a country where “law enforcement” is better named “crime scene investigation and followup”. But a series of residents killing criminals in their home sends a pretty clear message.
