I’m asking you why you read Mother Jones?

It’s a communist magazine.

You are confused, the pro-abortion Ann Romney, ran for political office in 1977, and won after an aggressive door to door campaign.

You are thinking of her pro-abortion mother-in-law, who ran for the Senate in 1970 and lost.

“”My position has been the same throughout my political career, and it goes back to the days of 1970,” he said. “There was a woman who was running for political office, U.S. Senate. She took a very bold and courageous stand in 1970, and that was in a conservative state. That was that a woman should have the right to make her own choice as to whether or not to have an abortion. Her name was Lenore Romney, she was my mom. Even though she lost, she established a record of courage in that regard.””

Oh for heaven sakes, Ann Romney “ran” once for a position as a rep for town meetings, similar to a precinct committeeman that lasted for about 2 seconds. Now there’s a big office to have run for, where I’m sure she learned how to be a big time pol. How far do you have to stretch to try to make her appear to have been a hardened politician who “knew the ropes”? She was a stay at home mom, who was active in the PTA and once ran for a piddly local position as a town meeting rep. Sheesh.

From Wiki:

“A representative town meeting is a form of municipal legislature particularly common in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Vermont.

Representative Town Meetings function largely the same as an Open Town Meeting, except that not all registered voters can participate or vote. The townspeople instead elect town meeting members by precinct to represent them and to vote on the issues for them.”

I might add, I was a local precinct committeeman for about 10 years in my home state. When I “ran” I knew diddly squat, and had to “run” even though I had no opponent as no one wanted the job. And politically at that time in my life, I was no experienced candidate, far from it. It was an unpaid public service position I was willing to take on, just like Ann Romney did. I can’t believe how you have tried to “color” this position as something of any significance on the national or even local political stage.

Your agenda is showing now, it must be why you lied about Ann Romney never having held political office.

The pro-abortion Ann was the first one to enter elective politics beating Mitt’s pro-abortion/pro-gay 1994 campaign by years.

In 1977 Ann ran an aggressive political campaign and was elected Town meeting representative, Ann Romney, a practitioner of the racist Mormon religion, which banned blacks from full church membership at the time, held office in 1977 and 1978.

He's a private citizen. He's not running for anything or trying to get money out of anyone from this. This is more of a "Gee whiz, guys, look what happened to me on the way home" shout-out to his pals, than anything pernicious.

Whether you'd tweet it or I'd tweet it -- and whether or not we'd have had the presence of mind to cope with the situation -- sending out the message is something private citizens certainly have the right to do.

So this is the paragraph generating that headline:

“.... reactions on Twitter to Romney’s tweet ranged from praise to criticism for posing for a photograph at an accident scene.”

They couldn’t say “Romney son praised for...[saving 4 people]” Disgusting MSN. Just disgusting.

Question for today’s Leftstream Media:

What would Senator “Teddy-Bare” Kennedy have done? ( WWSTBKHD? )

“Given the notoriety of his family...”

What, exactly, are the Romneys “notorious” for? Dad’s allegedly killing the wife of a former employee of a company Bain bought years after he’d left Bain? Or the $15M the Romneys gave to charity?

Maybe I’m being a grammar nazi here, but ‘notorious’ has a very negative connotation, i.e., famous for being bad. We may not agree with Mitt’s politics, but he and his family have done too many good things to be cast as “notorious.” Have you EVER seen the Clintons referred to as “notorious?”

“Your agenda is showing now, it must be why you lied about Ann Romney never having held political office.”

Her one year or less “elective” office is so dinky no one, including myself has heard of it, except you, of course, as you do your typical analy retentive probe of all things Romney. Your agenda is showing. Now go pick on someone smaller than yourself.

After reading this thread I understand why we have obama as President. We are still standing in a circle and taking shots at each other. Better get used to a President Hillary. ........because no one on our side is good enough.

LOL, your lying is without end when it comes to serving the pro-abortion Romney family.

Ann’s period in elective politics has been reported all over, from Fox to the New York Times and everything in-between.

The Romneys have been in politics for more than 35 years, aside from the Romney parents, and involved in campaigning for president, for at least 7 years, so yes, Ann’s previous campaign has been widely reported.

You didn’t want it pointed out that Ann Romney ran for office?

Indeed, but I would say that, thankfully, not all young people view his decision to have himself photographed as their peers do; there are still young conservatives who would rather do a good deed and go on about their lives, than to do a good deed and trumpet it tackily.
