Rather than thanking a list of friends and colleagues, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis used their American Music Awards acceptance speech to send a message of tolerance on Sunday night. The white rapper accepted his award by satellite from Florida where he preached about racial profiling and Travon Martin. Of course, he forgot to mention the numerous knock-out attacks by black youths this year.

IIRC, these are the same duo that put out the incredibly cheezy song “Same Love.” It’s supposed to be the new gay anthem or something, I guess. I just know it is one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard. And nobody in it can rap or hold a tune.

Well, I wouldn't call it a rant, but Hollywood liberal Richard Dreyfuss recently spoke up for the NRA. It was on CNN's Piers Morgan show. Morgan certainly didn't get the answer he expected from Dreyfuss.

I don't agree with every last thing he said. In fact, some of it was a bit goofy, like Dreyfuss saying that the NRA should be control of local armories.

But it was a pleasant surprise nevertheless.
