Coffee keeps me from being arrested in the mornings. I'm a little grumpy without it. ;)

Coffee also reduces liver damage from drinking.

After hearing for years about how bad coffee was supposed to be for your blood pressure and heart, I was surprised two years back during a brief hospital stay to see the little “Heart-healthy” sign beside coffee on the hospital menu - who knows what they’ll be saying about it two years from now???....

Reminds me a bit of a scene from the Woody Allen movie Sleeper . . . the protagonist who runs a health-food store is put into cryogenic sleep and wakes up two centuries later in a future where deep fat, cream pies, hot fudge and especially tobacco are the healthiest things for one’s body.
Dr. Orva: Resisters to mind reprogramming will be exterminated for the good of the state.

Miles Monroe: What kind of government you guys got here? This is worse than California!

I could live in a future without coffee, fats, or tobacco, just give me an Orgasmotron and I’ll be good to go.
