New York Times’ Obama cheerleading harms the nation
The New York Post ^ | 11/10/2013 | Michael Goodwin

Poor Barack Obama. Ending his fifth year as the world’s most powerful man, he is running out of scapegoats and fairy tales. Blaming George W. Bush has lost its punch, and the ObamaCare debacle is shredding the myths he is competent and honest.

Still, before he rides off into that sunset of self-pity and low poll ratings, he ought to invite his remaining friends over for a heart-to-heart. That way he can tell The New York Times that its fanatical support does him no favors.

Instead, it feeds his arrogance and reinforces his belief that he can solve any problem with another speech. The unflattering truth doesn’t stand a chance — until it is too late.

Not that the president would admit any of that, of course, but the Obama Protection Racket, led by the Times, cuts both ways. It is a key reason he has defied political gravity for so long, and also why he is now in deep trouble. As watchdogs became lapdogs, the presidential bubble grew impenetrable, isolating him from ordinary Americans and the trickle-down pain of his policies.

Well, if Obama gets his House or goes full-bore EO crazy and finishes off the economy and regular domestic control of this country, take heart in the fact that the NYT writers will be sequestered on a small island in the middle of 5-10 million entitlement denizens and immigrants.

The NYT is complicit in aiding and abetting Obama’s deceit. I hope the paper is exposed and held responsible for its treachery.

Great Op Ed. And the part on the crazy judge. But don’t read down to the section on Crisp Krispie, or it’ll make you sick.

Actually, they don't do it for him. They do it for themselves.

We still have three years of Obama to go, and perhaps at least four years of Hillary. But, I think that when history is written, the Obama era will be seen as an era in which America was put on a path to a steep decline. Our economy is sinking. Massive debt and deficits are being run up. Socialized medicine is taking root, and the shambles of Obamacare may actually hasten the day when we have full blown single payer healthcare, and all the bureaucracy which goes along with it.

It’s laughable that Obama ran in 2008 saying he would restore respect for America in the world and all that. The world situation is more dangerous now, and threats of terrorism are still very real. His outreach to the Muslim world is a joke. In foreign affairs, this president has not made the world or America safer.

On social issues, the Obama era will be seen as a time when homosexual marriage really took off. And crazy lawsuits regarding the rights of trans-whatever peoples are happening more and more. Society is having to bend over backwards to accomodate every sort of kook and freak of society, and pushing us towards saying their freakishness is a “civil right”. Obama and perhaps Hillary if elected, will continue to appoint liberal judges to issue edicts on these “civil rights” for trans-whatever peoples.

Obama is incompetent in many ways. But, he’s leaving his mark, in spite of incompetence.

Some of us, including myself, spotted this fraud as far back as 2007 when he started campaigning for the presidency, others picked up on his scam a little later as he started his con game in office. But many people, including his supporters, low information voters, fellow DemocRATS and even some in the media are now on to his schemes, as well.

Obama is an anti-imperialist and communist at heart and, I believe, a closet Muslim. He thinks the problems in this country and throughout the world are the fault of America. He hates America and loathes our military. He is not anything like what he was made out to be by his backers or the noses-up-his-backside media.

Obama and his continuing criminal enterprise never had any thought of improving the country for the better. His intent, from even before his election, was to destroy our country and turn it into third world sh*t-hole. Since he is a narcissistic liar or congenital liar, serial liar, whichever way you want to describe him, he has never been honest with the American people about anything he planned to do. He says one thing with his right hand while his left hand is doing the opposite. He has always advocated one thing that his supporters and the low hanging fruit voters believed and then turned right around and executed the exact opposite from what he promised. Or he did nothing at all in many cases.

His agenda has always been pre-planned to destroy the US. Kill the economy, kill capitalism, kill jobs, transfer wealth from the rich to his elite supporters (not the poor or middle class), increase dependency on big, nanny state government through welfare and food stamps, increase radical leftist laws and regulations, cram the bloated government with like-minded bureaucrats, institute liberal ideological policies like legitimizing climate change, homosexuality and green energy, degrade our military’s readiness and effectiveness and destroy our relationships with allies and cozy up to our enemies, including siding with radical islamic terrorists. His biggest push has been to trample on the Constitution and overuse the executive order to play king and dictator when he didn’t get his way with congress. He will do anything he has to to get his way, like the spoiled man-child that he is.

Obama’s incompetence is not our problem because he is far from incompetent. Achieving of his goal to destroy America is our problem because he is very successful at that. Voting him out is not longer an option since he is a lame duck already. Changing the ideological bent and philosophy of the party in the executive office and the congress will be the only way to reverse the damage this man has done thus far. As fast as he has destroyed our freedoms and liberties, it will take decades to extricate ourselves from the grip of the laws, regulations and policies he has put in place.
