Letter: Cruz, GOP's actions immoral

If Texas Sen. Ted Cruz were in California, we would start a recall on him. Cruz is wasting hard-working Americans' money in our Senate. It was immoral for Cruz and the other Republicans to shut down government to keep Americans from getting affordable health care.

America is tired of the Republicans' hating President Barack Obama so much that they want to keep 50 million Americans from being able to afford health care.

When the health care reform law becomes fully operational it will bring the cost of America's health care down.

In time, we can make changes and put into effect the single-payer Medicare-for-all and go to a publicly funded health care system and do away with the for-profit insurance companies, which is the reason Americans' health care system is the costliest in the world.

Ted Cruz is all about keeping Americans from getting affordable health care.

The writer has a six-year-old's understanding of the issues. Sort of a "Kindergarten Communism" approach. Not uncommon among California female voters, but disturbing to see printed in a city newspaper - whose editors should at least know to employ more sophisticated arguments in support of their sacred cows.

I was hoping to see the author was actually an elementary school student put up to this by her liberal parents, but unfortunately the newspaper does not make this clear. :)

After reading your fantasy article I have serious doubts you served in a combat zone or were a leader of men at any level, if in fact you ever even served in the Armed Forces of the UNITED STATES !! If you are a vet & did any of these things my guess is that at your first encounter with an enemy soldier you broke rank, immediately surrendered and then broke every article of the POW CODE OF CONDUCT.
