I like my Coke, but...if someone’s biggest concern about that concoction of chemicals is the GMO in the almost-poison HFCS, they need to reexamine their priorities.
Hah...ya mean corn sugar...nice nom de guerre
Actually, this could help.
I’ve not heard that sugar is GMO. If that throws more market share to the products using real sugar, it could put a dent in the HFCS stranglehold on the market.

I wish I had one those old Pontiac GMO’s now. Plenty of room to lean back and have a Coke.
Good point about possibly Coke and Pepsi may return to sugar instead of HFCS....its only in US and Canada they use HFCS instead of sugar....elsewhere in world Coke and Pepsi use sugar
I think Sierra Mist uses sugar.
Hecho en Mexico.
This is what happens when you stop teaching science in school in favor of indoctrinating students with diversity, multiculturalism, and economic and social justice.
Good thing you never eat honey. If HFCS is man made almost-poison, then honey is nature made almost-poison.
“I wish I had one those old Pontiac GMOs now.”
Uhmmmm...GTO, possibly?
I marched in the Coca-Cola 100th Anniversary Parade in Atlanta. Longest, hottest parade I’ve ever been in. Damn thing was like 3 miles. Most parades are about half a mile.

I guess I should have put “almost-poison” in quotes. I hear that on the internet constantly. Everyone warns you about the evil danger of HFCS. The same people warn me about GMO all the time.
I used to live on a nuclear submarine, with a reactor at one end, torpedoes at the other, 16 Poseidon missiles in the middle, hundreds of feet of seawater over my head, and everything was operated by 20-24 year olds. I’m not really scared of stuff in food.
Dam, good thing they had cokes on hand!
Yeah, they did, and they were very welcome.
It isn’t yet, but it will be in ten years or less. They are working on a GMO sugar cane that will be nitrogen fixing like legumes (peas and beans), ending or greatly reducing the need for chemical fertilizer.
And it will be just as safe or safer than non GMO sugar and way better for the environment.
People who are so scientifically ignorant about GMO food crops should simply purchase expensive certified organic foods and stop being a nuisance to the rational members of the human race.
Yeah, and those are really good. In glass bottles.

No kidding. That really puts things into perspective well.....We've become a nation of phobics. This is just more chemicalphobia. It's a common affliction these days. I blame government education.
