All of it — ALL of it — local, national, whatever — is nothing but propaganda and/or infotainment. Getting my news on FR, at least I can choose and be informed about the biases coming across in the reporting. It’s simply astonishing to me that so many people still think the old 6 or 7 o’clock newscast they half-listen to during dinner is somehow “objective” and keeping them “informed.”

first and biggest Headline under Top News is something about Saturday Night Live.
Then a link to Daily Beast ‘Sunday Talk: Should Sebellius go?’
Then NFL Injury roundup
Then a row of “trending topics” of mostly fluff(how is this news??)
It doesn’t get much better, some ‘real news’ is kind of mixed in there.

Facinating isn’t it. I just start laughing every time I visit my father,and he has Fox News on. Thank God for Free Republic.
