Slight Vanity: Dust Yourselves Off, Guys
10/16/2013 | Me

Posted on 10/16/2013 8:02:53 PM PDT by Viennacon

Okay, guys.

Today was a bad day for us. No getting around the facts. It was the biggest gutting since the Kenyan scored a second term.

In New Jersey, a senate seat that looked possible went to Corey Booker by about 10 points. Regards to Steve Lonegan. Excellent man who did better than he had any right to. He worked tirelessly against all the odds. Props too to Levin, Palin, and Rand Paul for campaigning on his behalf. Krispy was absent yet again.

This loss is hugely overshadowed by the complete collapse of the GOP in Washington. It was a rout. A surrender of epic proportions. Obama called the GOP's bluff and he played it the Chicago way, demonize and then demonize some more. I think we all owe a huge debt of gratitude to our guys who fought and fought against tremendous pressure until it was clear we had lost. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee principally, and those who had the courage to vote with them in the senate. Paul, Rubio, Risch, Scott, Crapo. Fischer sold out in the end, God knows why. Cornyn, you are not fooling ANYBODY. PERIOD......... I'd also give my best to Inhofe, who is recovering from surgery. He's a good soldier. The display of betrayal here on Freerepublic against Cruz after he declined to whistle past the graveyard was shameful, and whoever the idiot was who was leading that charge should be banned. Cruz is the most loyal man in the senate, and the best senator we've had in decades.

I also praise patriots in the House. Steve King, Paul Broun, Louie Gohmert, and many others. They gave Boehner the spine for the weeks we held out.

I have nothing but absolute condemnation and CONTEMPT for three groups who stabbed us in the back. This was not only an epic surrender, but it capped off an epic betrayal, a modern day night of the long knives.

1) Pundits. Krauthammer, Karl Rove, all of the traitors who pretend to be conservative. I have HAD IT with these bastards. They aided the Democrat media from square 1.

2) House RINOS. Peter King is an enemy of the state. His vile attacks on Ted Cruz warrant a censure. His entire cabal needs tough primary challengers in 2014. Schock, Riggel, all of them. Get these bums out!

3) Senate RINOS. I hold these a&&holes more responsible than anyone for this catastrophe. Bob Corker, John McShame, Linda Gayham, Kelly Ayotte. This is THEIR LAW! I am all in to support Graham, Cochran, and Alexander's primary opponents. 2014 is the time to break records for unseating incumbents in primaries. REMEMBER their treachery.

Now, I save this special section for last, because there is one particular senate RAT who I blame more than any other. As vile and maggot-filled as John McCain is, he barely pretends to be a Republican anymore. No, the real architect behind this entire disaster result. None other than Mighty Mouse B*tch McConnell. This HACK has been around for decades as a man behind the curtain, manipulating the RINO herd to his (the Democrat's) liking. He engineered the sabotage of Cruz and others. He even betrayed Boehner to some degree, all for a big Kentucky kickback package as we have learned. As awful as Boehner is, McConnell is WORSE. HE... MUST... GO! Matt Bevin deserves all the support we can give him.

With all this said, come on guys. It's time to pick yourselves up, dust yourselves off, and get ready for the next fight. You don't get a bloody nose and a knife in the back, then go home. You put on the brass knuckles and say "was that it?" Obamacare is a disaster. The economy is a disaster. Our foreign policy is a disaster. We're not done fighting this punk Obama yet.

The GOPe may surrender like the French, but we sure as hell don't!

Senate seat went to a guy who does not live in New Jersey (the state he was running for)?

Yep, though I doubt any legal challenge will end up anywhere.

Conservatives should immediately call for a vote of no confidence in Boner the loser and replace him with someone who has the backbone to fight the next time this comes up. If that doesn’t work I wouldn’t mind seeing every Tea Party Republican Congresscritter switch over to Independent.

This the Not the Death of the GOP.

This is the Birth of a New Movement.

It must be clear to everyone that the GOP is NOT on our side.

I don't know which path we should take.

A: Third Party, It can (and should be done) but the Political Parties in this country is so entrenched the last time we had a successful one it literally started a Civil War.

B: Take Over the GOP like the Progressives did the Democrats, a more viable Option, but that means McConnell and McCain have GOT to go. No If ands or buts about that.

Either way we should no longer give the GOP money, give to individual Candidates or work independently for them.

I’ll agree 100%.

I understand a whole bunch of you were all wild-eyed and determined to sink Obamacare, but that wasn’t going to happen, partly because there are some of us who support it. That is to say we support it as a step.

Because there is no other step. American healthcare is an expensive, unreliable mess right now.

We also support Sarah Palin, and Ted Cruz.

And I was opposed to both of them, just on this one issue.

Right now, there is a GOP bill stuck in the House, in fact I bet there are several GOP bills stuck in the House.

Find a good one, or make a better one.

ABOUT HEALTHCARE.

Propose our own version. Then fight it out. Nationwide.

Don’t just say “no”.

Advocate for a better plan.

Option A can have traction, with Sarah, Cruz and Lee. The GOP plaid country club pants brigade will be trashed out by the kenyan now that their usefulness is spent. Gop is dead, spent, no longer viable. McCain, then Romney. Seriously, dead.

Control of the media means everything.

Republicans were vilified from the start. The whole story was never told.

These disasters will continue until the press becomes more balanced.

I'm tired tonight and FReepers are venting and that's A-OKay with me. I despise the gutless, back-stabbing White Flag Republicans as much or more than everyone else, and I actually hate some of them, for what they continue to say about Ted Cruz, God forgive me..

In her famous words, we 'Buck up or get out of the truck!"
I think that means, We Support the GOOD GUYS!

How about Chief Justice Mike Lee!

We may have lost the battle, but let's not lose the lessons.
Lessons learned:
1. Our GOP establishment leaders are not up to the job.
2.
3.
4.
5.

Well said Viennacon and I agree with everything you wrote.

I plan to do all I can to support anyone willing to primary those RINO a$$holes and hope there’s a tough, strong Tea Party candidate that runs against every one of them.

As far as I’m concerned Ted Cruz is a hero and fought the good fight. He stands to fight another day and many of us here on FR will be with him.

Hasn’t plan B, been the plan since Reagan? That doesn’t appear to be working. The whole thing is disgusting and corrupt. I’m not sure why a decent person would want to sully their reputation with GOP brand.

It’s time for something new.

I say something new, is to bring back American jobs.

For an entire generation we have been sending American jobs overseas.

BRING THEM BACK.

Now. Bring them back.

Yes Onyx, what hurts the worst is when "Our Side" attacks you and the people you support and care about more than your opposition does.

The fact is if you have to Buy your Friends, They Aren't Your Friends.

The GOP is an Enemy, I hope that is plane as day today.
