I think he has quite cleverly set himself up to start getting offers, as Hollywood types trip over themselves to prove they are unbiased.
Not unlike Jason Williams’ strategy in coming out of the closet (though that has not paid off for him yet).
I lived in El Salvador at the time and traveled to all 14 districts of that fine country and that film was a travesty. Hollywood was a great facilitator of murder, rape, and terrorism via its support of the FMLN guerrillas.
Is Beck still talking about moving to Canada?? (snicker)
The ancient dramaturgical urge. Or something like that.
You might like to exchange ideas with Michael Givens, current Commander in Chief of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and one time Hollywood producer.
Because he liked the Arts?
October Baby, that’s a good movie, so there are parts of the country that are trying. Hollywood makes a movie I like every ten years maybe, loved “Saving Private Ryan”. In the ‘70s and ‘80s, Hollywood tried to be as objectionable as possible, of course, they have movies that are high on some people’s list like Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.
Though in Salvador, Woods played his character as a total left wing creep.
As far as the Producers are concerned its "Follow the Money". Can his epic make a bunch of dough?
I think the days of centralized movie production are coming to an end. Its just not necessary in one place anymore.
Lots of filming goes on here in Michigan and in the southeast.
This was the best scene with Nick Searcy in Justified.

Too bad he has to work with ultra liberal Patton Oswald.
That girl is the spitting image of my prom date.
Guess I’m not getting my mind back on work anytime today...
Ray Donovan is an excellent show. Which is why I’m surprised it’s on Showtime which has a record of unwatchable, leftist crap. They’re now trying to hype this Masters Of Sex which looks like a total bore-a-thon. The wife and I also started watching Homeland which shows possibilities, but we’ve only seen the first episode.
I loved 7 days.
James Woods noticed the 9/11 hijackers on a practice run a few months earlier.
He notified federal authorities. Who did nothing.
The man has brains.
Maybe the producers ought to consider his tweets as having value.
I’ve enjoyed his acting for years. Glad to see him step up to the plate and nail a couple out of the park.. more in Hollywood should do it too..
Hey Bruce Jenner.. hint hint.. Olympic Champion..
Happened to me in my late 20s...
CA....
All of those sound way better than any of the educational and public TV that I helped produce or engineer. At most I make some stock photo and video content and something for YouTube usually cobbled from stock stuff.
I miss being in production work but I had to make a living so I crossed into IT. It wasn’t an easy transition. I helped on one Indy film for free sometime back and enjoyed it.
Here in my part of the world there is a tight clique of TV people who are more or less gatekeepers and mostly very liberal. I was good enough to be able to run an entire videotape department by myself doing the job of 3 others that didn’t show up that often and when they did, accomplished very little if anything. However I wasn’t good enough to be even asked about getting in the good paying stuff. I asked and got brushed off.
Being the competent one meant I could forget moving anywhere else there. It took a few kabuki theater interviews to see that. I even carried Microsoft certifications that almost no one else had. That got me stuck doing glorified data entry with encoding tapes. Others did whatever but I wound up having to save cohorts from themselves. They got rewarded and I was lucky to be verbally acknowledged by my management. Others did though.
