Sebelius: Obamacare Is Success If 16.9% of Uninsured Enroll by End of March
CNS News ^ | 10/01/2013 | Susan Jones

"I think success looks like at least 7 million people having signed up by the end of March 2014," Sebelius told NBC's Nancy Snyderman. But 7 million is only 16.9 percent of the 41.3 million Americans who, according to HHS, are currently uninsured and eligible to get coverage

"It's a debate," Sebelius told NBC. "Do you want to have protection for basically every checkup, every visit, everything that you do -- or do you have a situation where you are making a determination where you and your family don't use medical services that much and you want to make sure you have protection if something really goes terribly wrong?"

Is it reasonable to think middle-class families can afford as much as $5,000 or $6,000 in deductibles, Snyderman asked.

"Well, I think that families can make a budget choice," Sebelius responded. "If that isn't something that clearly they can pay for, and a lot of people couldn't pay for that out of pocket, they will want a lower deductible."

So she thinks that getting one "free" healthy checkup a year is well worth paying hundreds in monthly premiums and thousands in annual deductibles?

She says you can get a lower deductible but doesn't qualify that with the fact that it increases the monthly premium. There is no choice for the people.

What an arrogant bit**

Enrollment count will be calculated as the number of hits to the exchange websites.

It is my understanding that Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Mickey Mouse, and Donald Duck should all be getting their enrollment packages soon.

And the number of uninsured she is using probably doesn’t include the people that are losing their current insurance daily because of obamacare.

...WTF!? Elitist Snyderman considers 6K a drop in the bucket. This will break many families very quickly. The intent of course.

How many of those signing up believe its going to be free? And for how many of those will it actually be free?

A comment from CNS site:

“Of course, I just wrote in the Gallup poll story that the Communists will claim victory even if ONE percent of IDIOTIC Americans enroll”

They know that this is going to be a bust. The same crowd that they played this scam to for votes, could care less about health insurance. They will not sign up, will still appear at the ER and get free medical care. The free birth control crowd won’t sign up either.

I've got a question:

It's well known that thousands of drivers sign up for auto insurance, in order to register their cars. Soon after registration, they quit paying on the policies.

Won't the same thing happen to those that sign up for Obamacare, when they get hit with the sticker shock that their new policy is far more than they expected?

What I foresee is:

1. People sign up for Obamacare
2. They go see a doctor to get caught up on their checkups.
3. Shortly after, they quit paying.
4. Re-enroll 8-9 months later.
Rinse and repeat.

They pull figures out of their a$$, they make up sh!t, define their own success even before the program is under way. She has no idea about healthcare; she has most likely never been responsible for her own insurance costs because she is a privileged Democrat ideologue.

They will count success by the “happiness”
of Union-, DNC-, and Congressional-card carriers,
while the rest of America has THEIR illnesses,
and cancers, ignored and redefined.

This will not make the public have MORE choices
of better, and greater numbers, of educated physicians
available with better technology
and easier, FASTER, access and protection of their records.

You are correct. Will the IRS collect the subsidy that was paid?

Interesting how success is not based on whether or not the program loses money. Strange how the government doesn’t use the same measure of success as any American citizen or business would.

You're a heck of a comedian, Rusty! The IRS is too busy harassing Tea Party groups.

Or better yet, sign up on December 31st, file your taxes, then cancel on January 1st. That way you’re enrolled in the current tax year when you file and don’t have to pay the mandate tax.
