Only Dems Can Delay Parts Of OCare. When Repubs Compromise With 1-Yr Delay They Are Told To Shove It

Obama gives any delays that he wishes to and any time that he wants to by unilateral executive fiat. When Republicans offer up a delay that they wish to implement, they are told by Reid and other Dems that "It's (ObamaCare) the law."

And right after saying "It's the law," Obama/Dems feel no obligation to not offer up another delay if and when they feel like it.

Republicans are told that they aren't willing to compromise.

Guess what? They offer up a compromise - they go from wanting to defunding ObamaCare to voting to delay its implementation for one year. And what do they get in return? They are told that it is dead on arrival.

Compromise to Democrats is do what they say when they say it - and they get to delay any part that they wish to, whenever they wish to (along with susbsidies for Congress, Congressional staffers and federal employees).

If Republicans compromise and offer up a delay on ObamaCare - when they wanted to defund it - they are told to shove it - after they were told that they weren't willing to compromise --- and they DID IN FACT compromise.

Gov't shutdown? If so, Dems/Obama/Reid/Pelosi -- you built that!

At least Manchin, the head of the Teamsters, Baucus and other Dems spoke of caution on going forward with this.

What is this, Emperor Obama time?

He can by executive fiat delay any part that he wishes to, and right after that Reid says “It’s the law.”

But when the GOP tries to do anything...Suddenly “it’s the law again”....no touching it...What the heck?

What Reid is actually saying is Obama is the law, or it is THEIR (Democrats) law, and no Republican is allowed to try and change it.

The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was also once the law of the land.

They next need to send a bill up that requires all federal workers, elected officials, appointed officials, and judges must participate in Obama care. with no subsidies.

To Obama, compromise is weakness. You don't make any compromises with street thugs or smart negotiators until you sit down for a negotiation and both parties put something on the table.

The HOR already went too far. But if they stop here and don't give Obama anything more, it can be "point taken" and the medical equipment tax will be gone and the troops will be paid.

I wish these 'pubs were capable of getting "mad as hell" and not pandering their way to defeat.

The better plan would be to push it forward with the caveat of no waivers and no delays, while stating, “It’s a bad law, we want it repealed, but in the mean time, we want those who are forceing in on everyone to live under it themselves.”

Republicans should re-introduce legislation requiring Congressional staffers and employer mandates.

Actually, I don’t want the so-called Republicans to delay anything with respect to Obamacare if they cannot outright defund it in its entirety.

I want as many Americans to feel the brunt of Obama’s signature legislation’s oppressive policies as quickly as humanly possible - before the 2014 elections.

We’ve seen that while us conservatives out here can make weasely RINOs try their best at show-voting and lying it will not work. BUT! It is still not enough. We need pissed off middle class Democrats, pissed off Independents, in short a ‘pissed-off’ everybody to Tsunami the elections of 2014 and stop this bastard in his tracks until he is forced out of office. No more harm, no more progress (for his policies). As Martha Stewart would say “a good thing.”

Obama and the Dems have gone down a very dangerous road. The road toward tyranny. The law is what they say it is.

Good Point. I can think of many others.

Immigration Laws for example.

Mind you, I’d offer the following choices: delay ALL of OgabeCare for a year. . . .or delay NONE of it. And no exemptions whatsoever.

After all, it IS the Law of the Land. . .

Agree. That would be a better plan that rids the country of this unworkable and unaffordable piece of garbage.

Immigration laws are good for the people and good for the country...

Slavery is bad...and unConstitutional...

Obamacare is bad..and unConstitutional

but i repeat myself...

ObamaCare is slavery...

I am disappointed nobody has brought up the fact that GOP negotiated a settlement of the illegal recess appointments. It is the Dems who have gone totalitarian my way or the highway on kenyancare and everything else.

+1

I certainly understood why Republicans wanted to defund Obamacare: it was the right thing to do.
I absolutely do not understand why Republicans would seek a delay so that Obamacare could be improved and implemented with a greater chance of success a year from now.

That strategy makes NO sense.

Exactly.. And the administration has not done very much to enforce the good laws.

Good Law or Bad Law matters not. Obama and the dems decide which to enforce and which to ignore.
