Negative stereotypes about environmentalists and feminists are engrained in society, according to a new study.
Researchers from the University of Toronto quizzed over 400 Americans about both types of activists and received 'overwhelmingly negative' feedback.
The most common words used to describe 'typical feminists' included 'man-hating' and 'unhygienic' while 'tree-hugger' and 'hippie' were attached to 'typical environmentalists'.
Revealing their findings in the European Journal of Social Psychology, the researchers say these character attacks 'play a key role in creating resistance to social change.'

many feminists are lesbians and 75% of lesbians are obese. figure out why they are sterotyped as man-hating and unhygenic.
The reason for this might be that 'typical feminists' are rather frequently man-hating and unhygienic while 'typical environmentalists' are tree-huggers and hippies.

I don’t like feminists, and I’m female.
I got flack for marrying young, having two kids in my 20s. They complained that I didn’t do enough for my career, professional development, etc.
I said I was a female engineer, often in classes with single digit female students and 50+ men. Then I worked in most male workplaces - as a woman, and later, mother.
I stalled professionally while taking breaks for kids and not travelling heavily. Fast forward a decade, and I have two kids in elementary school, while they are in their late 30s trying to have kids or find a partner or saying childlessness is just as good because they are liberated.
They never accepted my choice to be a part time employee and mother. Though there is plenty of vitriol for stay at home mothers, at least they get the support of female relatives who did the same and mothers who are also at home.
Funny how freedom to choose didn’t include balancing two worlds.
Most of the lesbians at my gym are NOT obese.
Not attactive, maybe, but not obese.
We should be grateful to Hillary Clinton....she did us all a favor by virtually destroying feminism. Her silence about her sexual predator husband’s many misdeeds, including sexual assault and sexual harassment, showed modern feminism for what it is...nothing more than a political tool for the left.

That is most likely proof that fat people do not frequent gyms, rather than evidence that most lesbians are not fat......
