COLTON (CBSLA.com) Two people were arrested Tuesday after a 2-year-old boy was killed in a dog attack in San Bernardino County.
Samuel Eli Zamudios paternal grandmother and 22-year-old uncle were arrested early Tuesday morning.
Police were called to a house in the 700 block of West Citrus Street around 5:30 p.m. Monday after Zamudios godmother Erica Vega and his grandmother reportedly found him naked and bloody in the backyard.
I still think its a dream, I want to wake up, Vega said. His face wasnt him, he was all eaten out.
Zamudio, of Rialto, was in the care of his uncle while his mother was at work when he was attacked by a pack of Pit Bull-mix dogs in the backyard.
Vega believes he may opened a window and climbed out.
We dont know exactly what happened, but Grandma looked in the back with the dogs and she started screaming and crying, she said.
The child was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Colton police say the grandmother was arrested because she owns the dogs, and his uncle was responsible for taking care of him.
Theyre looking at felony endangerment of a child resulting in death, Det. Ray Mendez said.
Police posted a sign notifying the neighborhood the seven to eight dogs that lived at the home had been ceased and impounded by Animal Control.
Five of the dogs, which are Pit Bull mixes, are being quarantined as officers continue the investigation.
Just by reading the title, you know....
It’s doggie deja vu when you don’t have to bother reading the article to know the breed involved.
Maybe ole Chett had a point to make.
A man is approaching me on the sidewalk, his dog on leash. Its a pitbull and as he approaches I sideline myself off the sidewalk so as to not be within biting or lunging distance of his pitbull. I also give the pitbull owner a disapproving glance.
Now of course, his pitbull may be a perfectly fine friendly animal. But pitbulls, like all dogs escape from the backyard or from one mishap or another, and run and roam through the neighborhood. However, as we all know two or more pitbulls finding each other on the street is a recipe for pitbull gang disaster.
I avoid and dislike pit bulls just as I avoid and dislike their owners.
The dog isn’t the problem, its the owner.
Pit Bulls are no different from Dobermans, German Shepherds, Boxers, Rottweilers or other breeds.

ceased?? It would have been better if the authorities had seized the dogs.
” the seven to eight dogs that lived at the home had been ceased and impounded by Animal Control. “
ceased?
BS.
Then Knuckles must be the laziest pit bull ever, he thinks everyone wants to play with him.
And how many times have we heard of family pit bull attack incidences from "friendly" dogs with no past behavior issues or mistreatment?
And how are we supposed to know what kind of owner a particular pitbull has?
ceased ??
One that keeps it in their yard and one that doesn’t should be easy to spot.
What really kills me when people adopt a pit from a shelter, not knowing or not caring of its history. ...accident waiting to happen.
I agree mostly.
We knew Knuckles mom and dad, they were also docile.
‘_______they were also docile.’
Well good, happy to hear it - really.
Except haven’t we occasionally heard of Pits similarly docile who have gone ‘postal?’
We have adoptd the policy that all dogs walking by the house with their owner, or ouside our favorite supermarket can be dangerous, and our kids should not just immediately pet them all over.
And even when invited y the owner to pet his dog, the kids are to keep their fingers curled under - using the fist only to the pet the dog’s face.
LOL! Great name for a Pit. My last pooch was a terrier. Called him “Spike.” It fit him.
He hates having his picture taken, he hides
