The modernist culture loves death. Just worships it.

Has he volunteered?

who gets to decide suffering?

Would these be “doctors”? I hope not.

That’s the problem, you see. It becomes a societal norm, and then the first thing you know, people are thinking, and saying, that it’s your “duty” to get out of the way for the next generation. “Gosh, we can’t buy that new house yet, Granny’s being sooooo selfish and grasping and just won’t off herself so we can get the inheritance!”

I certainly wouldn’t want to live the way Hawking does. Clearly he’s suffering greatly....

Do like that Castro creep in Ohio. Give ‘em a rope then put on a Suicide Watch. Probably could sell admission tickets.

You will get an argument from some here, but people and animals are not the same in God’s plan.

Hey Dr. Stevie... The logical progression of what you are supporting is that we don’ allow mentally or physically impaired fetuses to be “punished” with a lifetime of pain and suffering. Guess what that would have meant for you, Sparky? Stick with making wild ass guesses about the creation of the universe, you dumbass...

stephen to be honest if we took you line of reasoning you’d have been dead or stuck in a bedroom for years, once your disease seriously immobilized you. decades ago. seems like you have still wanted to live and do things even though you’re locked in a wheelchair all this time.

Professor Hawkings has not lived in the real world for
a very long time....presuming he ever did.

Asking him about anything other than questions regarding
physics or cosmology is like asking Rainman anything besides
math questions and when Judge Wopner is on TV.

Here we have a very simple contrast between those who believe in Biblical principles and those who don’t. Hawking is following his beliefs where they lead. I believe as the Bible affirms that humans were created in God’s image and animals were not. Jesus affirms it again when he says we are “worth more than many sparrows.”

As Biblically based values decline we see our nation devolve.

"We won't let animals suffer"

Leftists always say that humans are nothing more than animals and should never strive to be more than an animal. What kind of idiot weakens and devalues a species IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE? If destruction is the objective of science then why isn't Hitler considered to be a better scientist than Einstein?

A sane person would use science to elevate a species, make them more advanced and powerful. Alas we live in a world filled with lunatics and idiots. I often wonder why God doesn't just destroy us all. It's not like we're ever going to amount to anything.

I have read the first two dozen posts on this thread, and find none I disagree with. Stephen Hawkings needs to get his $hit together and learn to live. It is not about physics or mathematics, it is about living. God created us to live.

Short of that, he needs to fine Dr K...or a loaded pistol...what, he doesn’t have the stomach to pull the trigger? Sad for him.
