He’s a punk. He should have self-reported this. That’s the great thing about golf. For the most part it’s a gentlemans game, and gentlemen stick to the rules.

Lucky for him that the freelance videographer was there to record the mistake. Tiger would not have been able to sleep or party all night knowing that he had cheated again (note a couple of months ago some one had to inform him to take a penalty). Which begs the question - how many times has Tiger had oscillating golf balls (not Las Vegas oscillating balls) or other such infractions that were conveniently overlooked. But then again, if everybody else is doing it I suppose that it is then considered a “generally accepted practice” and is OK.
Caught cheating is not good for the sport.

I have to agree with Tiger on this one - this was a bogus call on the part of the rules official and he shouldn’t IMO been given a two shot penalty for this. The ball did not move, i.e. roll or change position, it did oscillate a bit but, barely so, but it did not change position and his actions certainly did nothing to improve the lie, and as soon as he realized that if he did completely remove the twig from in front of the ball, that the ball would move, at that point he stopped trying to remove it and played it as it lied.

Evidently the days are gone when fans would look the other way, take one in the chest for him, or help him out with a foot wedge. It seems the guy cheats at everything.

That is a clear penalty that Woods should have called on himself. You KNOW if the ball moves when you remove debris.
Tiger is such a Cheetah....in all ways.
