anybody that believes a phone running from a 1200 milli-amp hour battery uses more power than a refrigerator literally should not be allowed to vote. Really. And Global Warming is killing us all....and the Government is here to help. If you really believe a refrigerator uses less power, try plugging your regrigerator into a USB port for a hour or so a day and see how cold your milk will be. Most refrigerators draw 2,5 or more AMPS of power while running. Just to review a 1000 MilliAmp battery is 1 AMP for 1 Hour. So if your refrigerator uses 5 AMPs, it can only run for 12.5 minutes a day before the battery is 100% exhausted. People nowadays dont think for themselves. Wow you didn't even make it to the 3rd sentence in the excerpt. Maybe it is you that should not vote :-)

” That your iPhone, or more exactly your smartphone, uses more electricity than a refrigerator does. “
Good.
Excellent.

If they’re going to count the infrastructure of the phone, they should count the manufacturing, shipping and other infrastructure of the fridge too.
