Those That Are Not Preparing (Shortened)
http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/ ^ | 8/18/13 | Michael Snyde

The next great economic crisis is rapidly approaching, and most people are going to be totally blindsided by it. Even though the warning signs areglaringly obvious, most Americans continue to believe that our “leaders” know what they are doing and that everything will be just fine. But what will happen when the next great financial crash happens and trillions of dollars of “paper wealth” disappear into thin air? What will happen when the coming credit crunch causes economic activity to dramatically slow down and millions upon millions of people lose their jobs? This shouldn’t sound far-fetched to you. Remember, this is exactly the kind of thing that we saw back in 2008, and the next great financial crisis is likely going to be significantly worse. Our economy is in far worse shape than it was back in 2008, and government dependence is now at an all-time high even though most Americans are still enjoying debt-fueled false prosperity. We are living in the largest debt bubble in the history of the planet, and when it bursts we are going to experience a crippling “adjustment” to our standard of living. Some people understand this and are busy preparing for what is ahead. It has been estimated that there are approximately 3 million ”preppers” in the United States, and that number is growing all the time. Unfortunately, most Americans are not preparing for the coming economic depression and they are going to bitterly regret it.

Someone should write a book showing poor people how to prep with little or no money, especially now that the Obama economy have made us the majority.

While prepared, I feel many “preppers” fail to realize that there is no paper wealth.

The Fed is not actually printing currency.....it is all electronic.

This allows for shenanigans you cannot imagine. But it also avoids the inflationary spike of paper.

So, we see some inflation (caused by banks), but not the out of control inflation most expect.

I think we will see lots of control over this electronic money supply, but not a collapse as we envision it.

NOTE: I did not say no collapse.

BOL? Benji off leash? Bend over laughing? Be on lookout? Bill of liquor?

Poverty and prepping go hand in hand.

Camping is for poor people, and camping gear and camp cooking is a foundation for prepping, the same with shopping for food sales and buying in bulk and by the case, it is how smart poor people shop, yet it is also a foundation of prepping.

Getting back to food basics and cooking are for poor people, yet again, it is a foundation of prepping.

Grinding your own wheat and baking a loaf of bread makes pinto beans a fine dinner, real popcorn and homemade marshmallows make kids think they are getting special treats, not cheap treats.

Serving your beer buddies your home pickled eggs and liqueurs and Schnapps, makes you appear generous while they pay for the beer. For an impressive and flavorful snack or light meal, serve Belgium fries with homemade mayonnaise for dipping, French style. For breakfast, grind some wheat and make pancakes.

Homemade foods, homemade pies and cakes that cost little, fresh ground wheat, all can conceal that less flavorful, expensive foods, and meats or certain meat cuts, are absent, by the way, with good cooking, a little fish or a few shrimp can go a long way.

Part of the magic about doing the 1880 cooking thing, is that it is actually a vast improvement for the vast majority of Americans in terms of flavor and feeling satisfied after the meal, and it fascinates guests and makes them feel special, while revealing you as competent and intelligent, it elevates you as a cook, while you are saving a fortune, and truly mastering the experience of prepping.

I’ve never understood number 25. If you’re talking about consumer debt, sure. If you’re taking about fixed rate leverage supported by adequate liquidity, there’s no better way to grow your wealth during hyper inflation.

1. if you have supplies of any kind, competing military forces will want them.
2. If you are not part of and with a military there will be zero chance you will survive an attempt to resist one.
3. Ground penetrating radar will locate any underground facility with no problem. Most military forces will field these.
4. Going it alone only works if there is a scriptwriter making that happen.

What you say is true, but only if things go ‘Mad Max’ and despite what you may have heard even I don’t believe that.
