For years now, it has been known that physicians neckties are incredibly dirty, and their sleeves close behind, which is why they mentioned sleeveless.
If hands are cleaned of obvious contamination, alcohol hand sanitizer (between 60-85% alcohol) is the gold standard as antiseptic; but there are now room temperature “plasma gas” sanitizer boxes that work just as well and faster. The gas penetrates all the nooks and crannies, including under the nails.
