Better to stay here, fight it out - end up dead. Or just shut our mouths and live with it?

There is no “new America”. It is one and only.

If you give up your citizenship its because you decided to go pirate. You’ll probably arrange to have several citizenships.

Interesting post. We had been thinking Britain as it has been veering away from Socialism lately. But visited there earlier this year and the Muslim influence is increasing, at least in London.

Australia if you are young and have skills. Russia if you are highly adaptable or have money. Chile.

If you have $100K saved up, and any income at all over $1000 a month, go to thailand

The people there are the sweetest and kindest, and I would rather see Freepers move there than anyone else (but don’t tell any NON-freepers)

Re: Vietnam...

I worked for a clothing company a few years ago. One of the places was at a DC (Distribution Center) for the eastern US. Think 350,000 ft^2 of four-story high shelves. Seriously *big* place.

I used to walk the DC on my lunch hour for exercise. One day, just for grins, I tried to find a carton, somewhere in the building, that had "Made in the USA" stamped on it.

No dice. But I did discover that 90%+ of the stuff in that massive building was stamped with "Made in Vietnam".

I can't imagine that it's changed much, or that it's much different for other clothing manufacturers. Someone in Vietnam is making money off our back-to-school sales. There's success to be found there, like it or not, I think.

Look up the nations that have no drinking ages or ages that begin at 16 and you’ll find liberty, freedom in bloom and a fairly secular government.

Then cross-check with private gun ownership laws.

You get both and you’ll find your winner. At least that’s my system and I think it is pretty solid.

Philippines!

Western friendly, English spoken in nearly every province, kind, warm hearted people, amazing beaches, the American dollar goes a long way.

...... and the food! Oh, yeah!!!!!

Amewrica is the greatest country in the world...

If it no longer is then there are none at all good enough..

I was at a Braves game this weekend in Atlanta-—Turner Field..

I was amongst 40,000 plus other Americans doing American things..

Americana at its finest...

I was awed, privileged, thankful, inspired, grateful, in tears to be numbered with all the people standing respectfully for our National Anthem and singing along with the choir from Marietta, GA, happily doing the Chop the House, and the Wave, and yelling “Charge!!!”

The happiness and family fun was contageous..

It was Kids Day and the stadium was packed with kids of all ages..

How more American can you get than a baseball game ???

Even one where the Braves got shut out by the Marlins, 0-1 top of the 9th ??? LOL

Just to be there was to belong to an American tradition that Barry has not yet destroyed...

and wont

and cant...

It is the spirit and heart of America with faith in God that has sustained us and our Constitution..

As my pastor said yesterday...

Obama is not in control, the Congress is not in control..

God is in control...

and God has kissed America with His Grace and His Love ...

and He likes baseball..

otherwise He would have let ol Mom pants Barry look good when he threw out that 1st pitch..

:)

Many pluses to Thailand. Fantastic food. Lovely people. Medicine. Cost of living. Technology. Relative political stability. Convenient and easily connected Bangkok airport.

Blazing tropical heat in the south, milder climes in the north.

The problem would be if too many Americans, and left-leaning Americans, moved there.

Former Soviet states like Estonia are very conservative and strongly support entreprenuership.

If you can stand the cold, that might be a soft landing spot — until the liberals invade and wreck it too.

The ONLY way I would give up my US Citizenship, would be to support the “Republic of Texas II”. Had ancestors born here during the previous Republic.

I want no part of secession, but if there was no other option to remain a free man I would defend her. (If TX did ever secede she would not be the only state to do so)

And judging from the fact that 1,200 to 1,500 people per day legally move to Texas, the migration has already started.

I knew a family who relinquished their U.S. citizenship and moved to Canada during GWB’s second term. I didn’t really find out their reason for leaving, other than that they “didn’t like where the country was headed.” I assumed they were left-leaning, but I really was not sure; they might’ve been more libertarian politically. But, they were nice people.

People in Thailand are real nice people. Problem is Thailand has a large number of jihadi-death-cultists who go around murdering, bombing and raping.
